Great suit.
The color was darker than it appeared online but it was "Berry Red". The suit fits great and is well manufactured.

Not as expected.
I have an Arena bathing suit I love. Bought this one hoping it would be the same, but it's scratchier, stiffer material and doesn't fit. I gave it to my daughter. Now I'm wary of trying to buy any more online, knowing I can't tell if it's the same one.

Runs small but quality is excellent
It's been a long time since I've worn a training suit but I really wanted this one to work for me as I liked the low profile style and Arena quality. I was unfamiliar with the sizing format and after looking at the official Arena ladies' size charts that converted measurements to US sizing I concluded that I need a 34.Oh man, this suit is tight! I know training suits are supposed to be snug but: torso, too short; butt cheeks hanging out the sides. Maybe I'm too curvy for this. Or maybe I looked at the size chart wrong. I even went back to check on a few other sites too for the Arena size chart. Nope. US 34 confirmed. Looking at the chart again, it looks as though the sizing might be closer to an F 34 which is equivalent to an US 28. F = France? My tape measure shows that the hips on the suit I received comes in at 27" without stretching (13-1/2" across the front as shown in photo).I'm really disappointed with the sizing as everything else, the quality of the material, style, workmanship, all perfect. 2 stars off for the major sizing faux pas.

Recommended Product
This is an excellent swimsuit. It conforms to your body and has a thick enough material to actually smooth out your appearance and look slimming while still being thin enough to be exceptionally comfortable to swim in. Outstanding quality! 4 stars.*Thank you for taking the time to read my review and if it helped you make an informed decision either way about this product please let me know by taking a quick moment of your time to vote it Helpful so I can keep track of my most helpful reviews. I hope you have a wonderful shopping experience!*

sized up one size, has washed/worn well, not nearly as cheeky as product photos
My daughter has swim practice five days a week and was going through the cheap Costco swimsuits about one a month, I had to find a better option. I got her this Arena and another Arena one and it has been going very well so far. I had to google a proper Arena size chart and according to their size chart she should have been a 32 but other reviews said these ran small so I got the 34 and that was the right one. I got this one in black which is her team color and she likes that but she does prefer the Sporty Racer Back to this Thin Strap Open Back as she says this back feels too exposed. I have to say we were both very pleasantly surprised when this suit did NOT look nearly as 'cheeky' on her as it does on the model, so good thing there. It has been over a month now and so far it has worn and washed well. For the price and the longevity of this suit we are very happy and will definitely spend the money on these again when need be, but I think these suits will last her a while :)UPDATE, just wanted to come back and say that it is now five months or so since my daughter started using this swimsuit anywhere from three to five days a week every week and it is still going strong, very impressed, will definitely keep shopping Arena MaxLife for future suit needs.

Nice suit, but be careful with sizing
Selected this Arena Women's Mast MaxLife Thin Strap Open Racer" suit for my daughter, who swims competitively. Before doing so I consulted some other reviews about sizing. As these suits are designed for a super-tight fit for maximum reduction of drag, I thought I understood that the these suits actually ran small. It does not. Someone noted that the 34 was not US sizing, and that it was more of a US28. It was not. The US34 fit like a US34. Someone also mentioned that the torso was too short. Well, for my daughter, it was WAY too long. Given that, it was just unfortunately too big for her and really will not work. Some advice: Keeping in mind that swimsuits will ALWAYS stretch after a few uses, I recommend buying a suit that's tighter than you think you would normally wear. For competitive swimmers, I also recommend trying on suits at a swim shop, if you can, and buying your first one there before shopping online. That will prevent needless returns.

Love suit
Okay, it's not a love-suit, but a swim suit. But I love it. As noted in an earlier review on one of these suits, received through amazon Vine, I have long bemoaned the loss of the nylon Speedo suits that never wore out, even in chlorine water.Since I swim laps pretty regularly, I need a suit that lasts and stands up to chlorine, and while it remains to be seem whether these suits will stand the test of time, they look very promising indeed, owing to the fact that they are made with special material, called Carvico, which not only offers ultraviolet protection against the sun (although my pools are mostly indoors) but ALSO "max chlorine resistance."You can't get anything else like that in today's swim suit market, as far as I'm aware, and I have bought a lot of suits in the last few years. Mostly, they wear out after two or three months of exposure to chlorine.Besides all that, these suits fit like a dream.
