This is a cute, funny entertaining read for both kids and adults. I highly recommend.

I read this to my daughter and I recently purchased for my first great grandchild.

My grandchildren love to have me read this book to them. They have heard it so much the read along with me.

I bought this book for my 1 year old godson who is obsessed with giraffes (as per his mom) and I'm SO GLAD I did. I hadn't read a Shel book since I was in junior high but I remember how much JOY he can bring. I read it before I wrapped it and I'm so happy I did because it put me in such a good mood! As an adult, it keeps your attention, great illustrations, tickles you and can have you and your kids (old enough to understand) in stitches. I'm excited that one day I'm sure he will learn to read with that book. I'd consider this such a priceless purchase because hopefully when he keeps this book forever, it will remind him of me and I'm happy I got to gift it to a priceless little boy.

I saw this book on a person's Instagram page I follow on her story. Her Son is the same age as mine & I thought he would enjoy this. He does & so do I. I'm just now hearing of this Classic Author. I will purchase more of his books.

A present for someone who will appreciate it.The sellers were professional in their approach - this was an import for me.It took a while, but well worth the wait.

Fun classic

I'm a bit disappointed because the image shown here of the cover suggest that the book is in color but neither the illustrations inside nor the cover of my copy are.Nonetheless, Giraffe and a half is a very beautiful and funny poem and the illustrations are lovely. I've never read it as a child, never heard of it before... so when I read it today for the very first time I got one big laugh at the end of it - not because of the story (which is also very funny) but because it's actually mathematical incorrect:After the giraffe was streched another half, you would have a giraffe and a half. So far so good. You would have 1.5 giraffesBut then the giraffe shrank another half and you would once again have a giraffe, when infact the half of 1.5 of a giraffe would be 0.75 of the giraffe... so you would have less giraffe at the end of the story... although I think that is to be expected after all the trauma and hardship that poor giraffe went through. :-)

I love this book! I can’t wait to read it to all my nieces and nephews
