This system is not designed to be used on a fifth wheel where the drain pipes are below the RV. This send to be designed for a motorcoach where the pipes are in a compartment that can then gravity feed to this. If you have a fifth wheel, get the other one that is the temporary one with the built in clamp that attaches to your pipe the same way your hose does. For this to work on a trailer like I described, it has to basically be on the ground for the gravity feed. And the hose attachment did not have notched clips, so it falls off so easy!! And that sucks when your hose pipe is full to feed it, and it decides to fall off.It's not all bad, it does pump 150' through a 3/4" hose to my septic tank. But I have 2 40 gallon black tanks and it can't get through both without overheating or popping the fuse.I wish I would have sent this back during the return window. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but for my fifth wheel this is a total fail and a huge pain in the rear to drink my tanks. I would have ordered the other pump that is all in one. I hate it!

This is indeed a nice kit, however the DIY may be better served picking out their own components. pump works great and quickly drained my tanks, and pushed 4' of head with no problems. I couldn't use the included 1" hose because it doesn't roll up tight enough for my space--- went with 3/4" garden hose (yes, 3/4, not 5/8) and it didn't struggle at all to push 30' of it. I just could have saved some money on wasted hose. The electric wire they provided is nice, good gauge, and about 25'.I'm using this to pump the RV to a holding tank in my truck. it's much easier than wrestling with a 40gallon rolling tank.

Does exactly what is stated, I use it to pump 50 meters using 3/4 garden hose with no issues at all.

I bought this set up in April 2018. It has been installed for about 5 months and worked fine. Yesterday it just quit. What is the warranty on the macerator??

Very pleased. Easy to install and set up. No more 3" drain hoses to deal with. I no longer have to pay for a dump station.

What this company has done, is basically take a bunch of all the shelf components and sell them to you as a bundle together. The pump is a standard off the shelf FloJet macerator, and it includes a short length of 3" waste hose, a toggle switch, some 10AWG wire, and a 3/4 vinyl tubing. With the exception of the macerator pump and RV 3" twist lock waste fitting, most of the stuff is available at your local big box home improvement store. That being said, its nice to get everything all together in one box, but there is a price premium associated with it, and if you shop for each component individually, you could get the exact same system for significantly lower cost.There is no means to disconnect the long 3/4 hose from the macerator, so if you don't have a cabinet or compartment to store this long hose in mounted next to the pump, it is a mess of hose clamps and barb fittings to install it when needed. A quick disconnect hose or threaded fitting would have been a nice addition. Also unlike the picture, the quick disconnect 3" waste fitting was NOT clear, the one we received is black. Usually you want this fitting to be clear so you can monitor the process during pumping to make sure the waste is flowing freely, and when it is done.

Solved my problem. It does over heat when using a 5/8 garden hose, over 50 feet, to dump both tanks. I suspect if I were to use it as designed with the larger hose included in the kit would have less restriction and be able to clear both tanks without hitting the thermal cut out. A great product.
