Works well and great customer service!
Purchased the rower in early January. The instructions were in small print therefore it was a bit a hard to read; however, the illustrations were good enough for me to follow. Assembly took less than 30 minutes with the proper tools and a little planning before diving in. The only confusion I had was how high to fill the water tank, expecting there to be a marking etched somewhere on the outside of the tank. I later realized they printed wavy lines on the tank propeller and proceeded to fill the tank up to the top line.A couple of weeks after assembly and using the rower, I noticed the water was turning brown. I thought it was algae growth therefore added a little bleach. The problem persisted until I realized the brown stain is rust from a metal screw the propeller pivots on. I notified Mr Rudolph customer service and they promptly replied to understand the situation. They agreed to send a replacement water tank, and I'm happy to report no issues! Thank you Mr Rudolph service team!I've been using the water rower for nearly 2 months now and absolutely enjoy using it. It gives me a great workout as anticipated from a water rower. The product is sturdy and fun to use. And given the customer service, I gave this product a 5 star.

Missing/defective parts
The order came early. Assembly relatively easy. But a few defects upon assembly: (1) a screw with the handle stopper could not be attached and (2) the handle came separate from the belt with no attachment hardware or instruction. Also, can’t find water level indication on the water drum. I emailed the manufacturer/seller. Will update this review if/when I hear back from them.UPDATE 12/28/19: The seller reached out to me promptly and took care of the issue. They sent a custom-made video to help me with the assembly issue, though I had to get a bit creative with the handle holding knobs. Overall, I've been enjoying the rower for a while and it remains my favorite mode of exercise.

The Rower we received was obviously not new.
When I ordered this machine as a Christmas gift for my husband I assumed that he would receive a brand new rowing machine. As we assembled this piece it became painfully apparent that this was a machine that had been previously assembled and then returned to the seller. There are a number of chips in the paint. The end of the handgrips are worn. There is no sticker on the water tank to indicate the water level. The footboard was already in an assembled state. We are more than disappointed as we feel that this was totally deceptive. Now we are confronted with the extremely annoying prospect of disassembling this whole thing, repackaging it and returning it. I didn't pay full price for something that wasn't brand new!

Pricey but nice
It's is a nice piece of equipment but the price seems a little high. It's a bit challenging to put together by ones self but not impossible. The handle attachment could be better explained but not difficult to figure out. It provides a good work out. Overall I am very satisfied with it. I just hope it hold up over time.

Works well once you get past some of the minor quality control issues ...
The construction process took me only an hour and was easy to do by myself. First lack of either quality control and/or instructions was there appears to be an assumption the handhold will be installed to the strap at the factory. On mine it was not and no obvious way to fix. However, some other folks have had this problem and the right side of the handle does slide out if you apply enough pressure so the strap can be inserted on the bar and the handle reassembled. The next quality issue was the lack of water level decal on the side of the tank. It is important not to overfill the tank. Fortunately someone gave an answer that it takes between 3 and 4 gallons of water so I filled with 3 gallons of distilled water and marked the level on the side with a dry-erase marker. Unfortunately they cannot just send me the decal and now that I have the unit built and filled with water I don't want a replacement tub. They also included an attachment to hold the phone but no instructions on how to attach them. They did want to send me an installation video but only via text and I have a limited data plan. Sad they just don't put it on youtube.Per actual use, the unit works very smoothly. I am new to rowing, this is replacing a stationary bike. I am used to 20 minutes 3x per day on the bike and so far have just worked up to 10 minutes on the rower. I am definitely feeling a higher level of cardio and muscle fatigue in shoulders and calves. Hope to get back to 20 minutes a shot over the next month. Even with water in the tub the unit can be stored upright to reduce the amount of space when not in use.Overall pleased with the unit, glad I didn't spend twice as much on some of the other units as I doubt, at least at this point, I would appreciate the differences.

Great Machine
I love this rower. It is very sturdy and the foot pads are adjustable so that is important for the leg workout. I use it about 4 times a week and have had it over 3 months. I would definitely recommend this machine.

Awful product
A lot of holes mismatch.Impossible to attach stoppers with screws C. They are too short.Water tank have no min/max markings.Handle is detached from the cable - I have no idea how to attach it. Nothing about it in the manual. So much hassle for $700+? No thank you.
