Holy crap! I just want to say that Abbi Glines is definitely my drug of choice when it comes to New Adult/Romance books. She has the uncanny ability to suck readers in and leave them wanting more every. single. time. Preston is my ultimate bad boy of the Sea Breeze series but man, Dewayne gave even him a run for his money! Dewayne is rough around the edges and has the “I don’t give a f*ck what anyone thinks” persona and it fits him well. He the epitome of deliciousness and that dirty mouth of his just made this book all the more sweeter! The thing I love the most about Dewayne, besides that mouth of his, is the fact he knows what it feels like to have lost someone. He’s guarded and for good reason. But with Sienna he’s completely different. He’s been attracted to her since she was young but she was someone he knew he could never touch. Why? Well, she was his brother’s girl. Even though he knew he could make Sienna happy and keep her safe he never made a move. Six years later, when Sienna shows back up with a part of his brother he never knew existed, he still didn’t think Sienna needed someone like him, but in the end the pull was just too strong.Sienna was a the perfect heroine. She thought she’d found her happily-ever-after in Dustin Falco but when a huge mistake turns into a life shattering event she was left with no one to love her or help her. Then a miracle happened…Dustin left a part of himself with her and it was in the beautiful little package of a baby boy. Keeping this child wasn’t a hard choice to make for Sienna but it did have major consequences. Lies, betrayal, and hurt is what surrounded Sienna for six years and then she moved home. When some pretty big misunderstandings come to light she and Dewayne try and find a way to make things work. Dewayne wants to know his nephew and Sienna wants her son to have more than just a momma for family. When things get heated between Dewayne and Sienna, Sienna knows that she can’t just have a one-time thing with Dewayne. It isn’t in her to give herself over like that to a man she knows could potentially break her. She knew she could love Dewayne but she was scared of him not returning her feelings and their relationship having negative affects on her son, but in the end she just couldn’t fight the pull Dewayne had over her.I loved this entire storyline. It was executed flawlessly and the pace was perfect. I have to admit I wanted more but that is because of my slight addiction to Abbi Glines’ characters. It had the perfect ratio of storyline and steamy scenes and saying this is an understatement. Holy crap! I haven’t panted this much while reading an Abbi Glines book since Just For Now! I loved every minute of this book and I hated to see it end.Dewayne surprised me in the most fantastic way. I wasn’t expecting much out of his book because honestly, I never really got into his character but now, having read HOLD ON TIGHT he’s my ultimate second. (Behind Preston Drake, of course). He’s real and rugged and his dirty mouth could set a nun on fire! With Sienna he’s gentle and honest. He’s perfection wrapped up in a hot, dread-locks package that I could swoon over every day, all day.

I love Sea Breeze!
It just occurred to me that this might be the last Sea Breeze book. I say might, because I will forever hope that Abbi might write more. Dewayne is a character that hasn't had much introduction. He has always been around, at the bar or hanging out with the guys, but we didn't know much about him. To me, he was always a sarcastic type of guy. A tough talker, who would do anything for his friends. He ended up being so much more vulnerable and insecure about things than I had imagined. Sometimes the biggest guys have the softest hearts. Dewayne and Sienna's story has so much history. I love that they secretly longed for each other, but didn't do anything about it due to her relationship with his brother. Dustin seemed like a typical teenage boy. He was selfish and arrogant, and he completely took advantage of Sienna's trust and loyalty. I found it hard to like him, although I did feel his loss. Sienna is another really strong female charcater that Abbi has created. She has overcome so much loss and done so much on her own, that you can't help but love her. Micah is such a great kid. Their close relationship was so heartwarming, that it brought tears to my eyes many times. He tries to take care of her and protect her at all times. So sweet. When Dewayne and Sienna reconnect, sparks fly all over the place. The passion and chemistry between them was explosive. Hot does not even come close to describing it. I will never look at chocolate cake the same way. I really enjoyed reading about these two. I didn't miss the added drama that could have been there, with a jealous ex or big betrayal. It had the right amount of struggle and heartbreak, to balance out the newly confessed feelings and excitement from getting together. It was another perfect piece of the Sea Breeze puzzle. I personally think that there could be another piece missing. Say Green, for instance. But, no matter if there is any more from this gang or not, it will be a series I continue to revisit as often as I can. I have loved every one of them. Thanks Abbi!
