Best pillow ever!
What is not to love about this Sobakawa pillow? This is my second one. The previous I had for 18 years. It is filled with buckwheat hulls so it is pliable and shapable. I have a condition with my neck and regular standard pillows cause me much pain. It took me only one night to get used to it as it being filled with the buckwheat hulls it makes a noise. But once your head is on it, there is no more noise unless you are moving around. I get better support with the Sobakawa and no "wry neck" issues. The pillow does have some weight to it, not lightweight like a foam pillow. Works great for side, back or tummy sleepers. You can adjust the amount of hulls in the pillow as it has a zippered access. Personally, I have tried so many pillows in my lifetime that I had about given up when I came upon the first one I had. This was a definite game changer for me. And yes, there will come a day when you will have to purchase a new pillow. It is after all filled with the buckwheat hulls and over time they will break down. But mine lasted 18 years so I am not complaining one bit.

Best pillow ever!
After my last pregnancy sleeping with the pregnancy support pillow I have become a "side sleeper". This pillow is cool and very comfortable. It is about half the size of a standard pillow and it is heavy, and noisy. At first this seems strange. The first night I figured I just lay on it and use my hand to form the pillow under my ear, and slept like a rock for the first time in forever!Very quickly I realized it is in face the perfect size, and the sound it makes when you move is no longer an issue as I will lay down and fall asleep so fast I don't get the chance to toss and turn.So as far as being cool this pillow seems to wick heat and moisture away from my head. In the morning the top of the pillow is cool and dry, the underside is hot and humid. I just flip it over and it cools and dries off quickly. Pair this pillow with some pure cotton pillow cases and you will be set.10 stars if I could give that rating!

Worst asthma attack of my life
These arrived with a chemical smell, but not very strong. I used them until I realized they were the cause of my recent asthma attacks.I like the pillows, just not the smell.

Exceptional Support and Comfort
I’ve been using the Sobakawa Traditional Buckwheat Pillow for years and recently purchased two more. The support it offers is unparalleled; the buckwheat hull filling conforms perfectly to my head and neck, providing consistent support throughout the night. The natural cotton cover is breathable, and the pillow stays cool, enhancing sleep quality. It’s especially beneficial for back and side sleepers. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a natural and supportive pillow option.

Not great in my opinion :)
This pillow has 1000s of seemingly great reviews, and great! Most of my reviews are 5 stars so I just want to offer a different and realistic perspective for this pillow. I have had neck pain for maybe a month but I think it was related to my crappy bed which was shaped like a canoe, and actually the manufacturer just refunded my money as it qualified as a defect, but after about a 1.5 years on this horrible bed, I was left with residual neck pain, so started thinking I needed a new pillow too, and tried a few and maybe I'm just super picky and a stomach/side sleeper... oh I'm 51 and in great shape though, anyway I saw the reviews and thought this might do the trick... wellll.... it's about the oddest pillow ever, filled with beads (husks) seems more like a bean bag, but what's worse is it's loud if you put your ear on it (stomach sleeper or side) it sounds like you're sleeping on a bag of Doritos and feels about the same. It is very firm and not comfortable in my opinion. The best thing about it is it immediately made me realize how great my down pillow was! lol Congratulations to the manufacturers on all the success and I'm glad it helps a lot of people, but my 'husk' pillow will be returned to the husk pile lol

Very Small but works
I bought the 'Standard' size pillow. First: I really liked sleeping on this pillow. I woke up without the usual shoulder and neck pain. So 5 stars for results. However: the 'standard' size is NOT a regular sized pillow. It is very small... Maybe 2/3s or 1/2 the size of a normal standard plow. And it is not as full as I had hoped. So it is small and a little thin compared to an actual standard size. You will have to make or find smaller pillow cases for it too.I will keep this one since it works as advertised but it will be for camping or travel. It was a good way to test if liked this style though. I ended up buying another one from a different company that I can also fill woth more buckwheat husks.

This is the best pillow ever made (forget other reviews!)
Amazon gave a warning that this item is usually returned. Why I had no idea. Yes, the pillow is small, and I bought the Queen size pillow first. Although the Queen size is good, the filling has a way of spreading out so not as much support as the smaller one. I have had surgery (spinal surgery at C2 and C3), and need very strong support with a pillow with thickness. With this pillow, I have no neck pain when sleeping. The value for the money of this item is perfect, with it being even better than the Queen size. Again, the thickness is important, and the raised height is perfect for the neck. People that return this item have not given it a chance. I am glad to see this product is still on the market.

Neck pain gone
I purchased the queen size and love this pillow. I had neck surgery a year and a half ago and struggled to find a pillow that works for me. I have no pain or stiffness when I wake since using this pillow. I am a side sleeper and am able to adjust it just right for my build. The only complaint I have is I wish it had more fill. I bought an Amazon basics standard size case and it solved the problem.
