The higher the gain, the narrower the signal becomes (above and below the antenna will suffer reduced signal strength).I was satisfied with the performance and build quality of this higher gain antenna.I tested signal strength of this antenna by connecting my PC to my cell phones' hot spot using the PC's internal M2 9620 AC card on the 5Ghz band.At 6' the signal was worse than using my 2dBi antenna, as you would expect. But once I got the antenna further away, to take advantage of the narrower and stronger signal cast by the 8dBi antenna, there was an increase of 11.5% in signal strength. (see image)The only problem I had was that I could not screw both antenna in at the same time. The receiver on my Gigabyte motherboard puts the receivers too close together.

Perfect item, perfect seller.

I used this on my Hollyland Mars 400S. You just screw it on like the one that came with the Mars 400S. The signal strength doesn't seem to be any better, but the speed is better. With the antenna that came with the Mars 400S, I get about a 1 second delay, and with this one, that is cut to about 1/2. I think it's worth the investment for this. I was able to cut through one floor and two rooms before the signal drop.

I'll admit that I ordered this kit because I needed the cables, but I also tried the antennas out on my WiFi router and they worked at least as well as the ones that came with it.I needed the cables for the LTE antennas that I am using on a router that I was building, and they worked great.This is a good price, especially if you need these longer cables.

I use the TREADALT-TEC 8dBi 2.4GHz 5GHz 5.8G Dual Band WiFi RP-SMA Male High Gain Antenna for my existing Wifi router and got much better reception signal strengths as measured in my App with DB reading. The antenna holds its position at an angle in place very well. I also tried on my RC transmitter with better results. Good values for enhancing out existing setups.

Good network adapter antennas. Work well, easy to install. Recommended.
