No more Carb issues
Love This Kit. MSD makes stuff almost idiot-proof. Edit (You know what they say, If you make it idiot proof, they'll make a better idiot.) The best thing I like about this kit is that there's only one fuel line. It does not have a return line to plumb. So when you're pulling off that f-ed up carb and tossing it in the garbage, there's no need to plumb a return line. It uses a turbine style pump, an FPDM (Fuel Pump Driver Module) and only spins the pump fast enough to keep pressure in the injection system. It's even smart enough to run a distributor. I own a Ford shop and this is the only FI system that I recommend. Makes stuff really easy to understand and make run. Good Job, MSD.

Great Product, Easy to install, Runs Great, and Easy to Configure ALL 5 STARS. MSD Tech Support MINUS 5 STARS.
Running it on a 1965 Mustang, it has been “WIFE PROOF” ever since it’s easy to configure since you don’t need a laptop. The fuel pump works great outside of the tank and best of all it works great without having to run a return line. I did have one issue I had to work through, and I can save you some agrivation, don’t mount the ECM in the engine bay, it just can’t handle “Summer” under hood temps, put it inside the cabin and you’ll never have a problem. When the ECM gets hot the brain won’t fire up. I figured it out since I had 2 units, I ran around got it hot then turned it off, tried to restart and the handheld showed nothing. Plugged in my other ECM and it fired right up. If you do an install and have an issue, go to the MSD Forums on thier website under SUPPORT, and research it yourself because trained monkeys are smarter than MSD’s Tech Support.

msd atomic efi
the advertised returnless fuel system is a joke-you need to answer questions to equal 5 points in the directions to run as a returnless system, unless you always drive in below 80 degree whether it is impossible to meet the requirements. it was not a big deal for me because i had a second line and a port arleady in the tank, but i did have to spend an extra 158.00 on a pressure reg. it was a very easy install and seems to work well, only driven it 150 miles so far.

Don't hesitate just buy it
had my 850 holley on there, changed out to atomic efi and absolutely love how simple everything is. The wiring, fuel system, the hand held unit. My TBSS when I need to tune it I have to pull my laptop out to get into my tuner, on the efi I plug in set parameters adjusted my fan Temps primed the fuel pump and fired right up. Idle is perfect, no vacuum issues throttle response is spot on, no bogging or hesitation. The piece of mind merging onto the highway that alone made the purchase worth it. Cold starts and warm starts doesnt phase it. Motor is a 355 with edelbrock rpm heads, cam intake kit, and 11:1. Like I said dont sit on the fence. Just pull the trigger and smile like I am

Awesome except for the fuel line.
Loved the stability of the system, however the fuel line they provided failed in less than a week.

I DON'T BELIEVE ANY OF THIS
AFTER LITERALLY YEARS OF TRYING TO DEAL WITH THIS PRODUCT, SPENDING 2200 BUCKS ON IT, MAKING TWENTY CALLS TO EL PASO, AND DEVELOPING A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF THE PROGRAMMING DATA, IT STILL IS PERFORMING VERY POORLY, YIELDING LOW POWER AND GETTING 9 MPG ON MY 69 SUPER BEE 383 MAGNNUM., DESPITE THE ADDITIOIN OF A MOPAR 4-SPEED AUTOMATIC. I AM VERY CLOSE TO PITCHING IT IN FAVOR OF A RETURN TO A CARB.

it's not a waste of your time
If you want it reliable, it needs the return fuel line. Be prepared to shell out $400 more unless you live somewhere that won't see an 80 degree day. IAC motor is a pile, the electronic timing is a nightmare. Unless you have SBC, you will most likely struggle. The support over the phone is a joke unless you get the right person. Talk to three different people, one was helpful. One guy couldn't of been less enthusiastic or helpful if he tried. That's your job as support personnel, to answer questions, it's not a waste of your time. Three weeks in, already a broken IAC motor after multiple conversations with support saying "you need to drive it, for it to learn". Guess what, its a brand new 6k motor, not driving it anywhere with 1600 rpm idle, detonation, pinging and backfires. I'd give this thing one star but it did run fairly well when it was just off mechanical advance so it gets two stars.I would take this thing back if I could, buy the edlebrock or maybe the fast system. Look elsewhere.I'll update if I ever get it to work right.
