If you are looking for the ability to drive 4 ohm and want power and tubes at a reasonable price.
Without going into a life story, I purchased this amp to replace a full solid state AB amp in my system. My previous amp had more power than this one and I was using it to drive a pair of Magenpan 3.7I speakers which are 4 ohm and crave power. I was a bit hesitant since this amp didn't have quite the power as my old one did. However it has more than enough for the maggies and even after 10 hours of use, they have already surpassed my previous amp in every way I can think of. The sound stage is remarkable and growing by each hour. I understand that these take about 40 hours to break in which may seem long until you really get into them. My phono-preamp and preamp are all tubes with point to point wiring. I can't afford any of the tube amps that can produce this type of power so this turns out to be a great alternative. The build quality is right up there with some of the best. If you like VU meters, the choice of colors is an added bonus. For those interested I replaced a Emotive XPA-2, 2nd generation that was failing.
