Do not purchase this product. I bought (2) of them for Christmas presents and (1) for myself All three never really worked and never held a charge long enough to use them. I should have written this earlier, shame on me, but I think others should know the problems I have had. Buyer beware...

This is an excellent item. It was great to get something which works well and was very inexpensive. It easily telescopes and holds the phone securely. The bluetooth quickly connects every time.UPDATE: it was used only a few times, but today the rod pulled out of the handle, so it is now useless. One of its main jobs is to telescope, so this is a fail! (After my initial strong review!)UPDATE 2 (06/2016): After my weak review, Anker contacted me immediately and sent a replacement unit right away. Like the first unit, the bluetooth connection was seamless and consistent. I appreciate their excellent customer service. This does appear to be a very good unit, and especially for the low price.

At $8 this was a steal. I absolutely love this selfie stick. It not only incorporates Bluetooth for making pictures and video a million times easier but it has a 20-hour battery life. While I love this selfie I can firmly say that the instructions are lacking on telling you how to do certain things. Aldo that is a small problem anyone with any Common Sense can figure out how to use this. I also found that when you pull out the selfie stick all the way that it's a little bit flimsy and I think that they could improve upon that by making the metal a little bit thicker. All in all for what I paid I got every bit of what I paid for and then some.

This is my first bluetooth selfie stick so I was a bit excited to receive it.Upon reciept, opening the box containing the item revealed nothing short of typical Anker quality. Starting with fantastic and simplistic packaging. Easy to open and high quality. Inside the box was the selfie stick itself, a wrist strap, micro usb charging cable and a small owner's manual.Upon removing the stick itself, it felt very solid. The feel of the handle is soft yet doesn't feel like it would break easily. It's rubberized and gives you a sense of a secure grip.There's one single button on it, which is multifunction, and also has a great sold feel to it when it's pressed.The unit telecopes adequate for use with my heavy iPhone 6s Plus. Any longer would cause a lot of strain on my arm, I think!Mounting my iPhone gives me a very good sense of comfort because it holds the phone so well, I'm not worried about it falling. I paid a lot for my iPhone and the last thing I want is for it to fall onto the ground. I currently use a not-so-thin Apple Silicone case on it and this selfie stick could easily support thicker cases, such as an Otterbox, I believe. Although I don't have an Otterbox to confirm.Pairing the device to my iPhone was effortles and it pairs very quickly whenever I turn it on.Using the stick is effortless. Solid presses of the button on the stick mimics the volume down button being pressed, thus activating the shutter on the camera app. I did not try other camera apps, only the factory iOS app.This stick is super compact. The mount portion folds back into the stick making it super compact and easy to carry around. The lack of wires is also a huge plus compared to other selfie sticks that I've owned.I would not hesitate to recommend this item to a friend or family member.

Did not work upon arrival. I have an iPhone 6s. I have other Bluetooth accessories that we use with our phones so I know what I'm doing.(updated 10/03/16) After working with Anker and receiving a replacement, the stick still did not work with my phone. Anker did not know what could be the problem other than to say it must be my phone. While I figured that was true I would have thought more ideas from them would be forthcoming. So I checked and rechecked all my settings. Then I saw a post online that had the same problem and it was because their volume control did not work through the earbud volume control. So I tested my phone with the volume control on earbuds and sure enough, did not work. So it is my phone, and nothing I can do. But shouldn't Anker have been able to point me to that test? Ah well, I tried the stick with a friends phone and it worked so I gave it to him.

I ordered this selfie stick in October 2016; and I used it only for two cruise trips - one in November 2016 & one in April 2017. I tried to use it this July 4th long weekend and it kept blinking the blue light. It is unable to pair with my Samsung Galaxy S6 at all. It is malfunctioned after two trips!!!! I am extremely disappointed!!!!!!!!!!The manufacturer, Anker's customer service emailed me after I posted the above review, to offer me a couple of solution. The first one was to disconnect any pairing between the selfie stick and my cellphone and then to start new pairing. I did try that a few time but to no avail. The second solution was that Anker offered to send me its newer version of selfie stick. I selected this one but then they said that they are out of stock. Therefore, Anker finally fully refunded me now.Although I dislike the selfie stick malfunctioned after only two use, I do appreciate the fact that Anker takes care of its customer by offering various solutions.
