Where have you been all my life?
My slicer arrived today, and I was already making myself spaghetti squash with marinara sauce (a favorite of mine). Since I had a new toy, I grabbed a zucchini from the fridge and tried it out. I steamed the resulting spirals for a minute or so, put them on top of the spaghetti squash, added the sauce, and sprinkled with parmesan. OMG! Delicious, and though I didn't think it possible, since I love spaghetti squash, the zucchini was tastier. So my dinner was excellent...but you probably want to know about the product. I'm very impressed. The slicer has the look and feel of a quality product and comes with a heavy, attractive storage bag. It was extremely simple to use. I tried both ends and found I liked the larger end better. My zucchini spaghetti was more like linguine, which is my favorite pasta shape when I make regular (much higher calorie) spaghetti. When it came to clean-up, the product comes with a nice little brush, but I found I didn't need it. I was washing my plate anyway, so I just swished it briskly in my dish water, and only had to remove one tiny piece that failed to dislodge. The only thing that wasn't perfect is the cap that allows you to protect your fingers for the last couple of inches. It allows you to get just a little more of your vegetable spiraled, but you still have a couple of inches of vegetable left. It's just a chunk, half of which is shaved. Since by that time I was into it, I cut that chunk in bite sized uniform pieces, steamed it, too, and used them as a garnish on top. I love it this slicer! I'm going to try my "spaghetti" on my "fast food only" husband tomorrow (just one bite!) but I'm definitely going to use more zucchini. I don't know how he can't like it. Can't wait to try other veggies, and I already know this will become a go-to tool in my kitchen. Summary: Good product, fair price, wonderfully useful tool for those looking for ways to eat light and healthy. Highly recommend.

Great Spiralizer for Beginners
This thing is great for starters. I recently completed my first run through of Whole30 and never noticed all of the crazy ingredients and additives in food items. I had never owned a spiralizer before but I was eager to try it out. I have since fell in love with it, using it sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. While I mostly use it for zucchinis, I also loving throwing in some sweet potatoes. The tool itself, is incredibly easy to use and if you have the right size zucchini, it literally takes seconds to make some pasta and get eating. For someone who plans on using this tool occasionally but not so often, it is a no brainier of a purchase. Its its small and easily put away when not needed but after repeated use, I can understand the love for a crank spiralizer. My biggest issues with this item are the handles and small mouth (opening). This spirialzer does not work well for larger vegetables or odd shaped items. I ran into this issue multiple times in the past month or so and it has become slightly annoying. The handle can also start to feel uncomfortable after a while. Like I said, for the right size zucchini, this device is great but if you want to start trying new items or doing it more often, I would suggest looking into a crank version.

love it, but........
Ok. I've been waiting to share this review. I was very excited about the idea of making spaghetti out of vegetables. The more vegetables in my life and on my plate the better. Let me start out saying that I like the Spiralizer very much. However, the process can be cumbersome. As advertised, the gadget tends to be partial to yellow squash and zucchini, although other vegetables are encouraged. So, as expected, spiralizing those two veggies were a breeze. It was not too difficult using the end turning cap with these two vegetables, I say with emphasis. However, I also chose to use daikon radishes, sweet potatoes, and carrots. With the exception of the daikon radish, the other two were difficult to control when spiraling by hand. All of the latter 3 were even more difficult to operate with the turning cap. Needless to say, it was a tedious, laborious process. My arms got a good workout though. The leftover pieces of veggies that could not be cut, were diced and added to the spiraled veggies for sauteeing. In the end, the dish was wonderfully tasty. I felt great knowing that I could eat a plate of vegetables that did not have the calorie-density of pasta or the "bad carb rep." In closing, my suggestion would be to create an electric device that could do the job in its entirety without tiring out the cook and leaving large pieces of the vegetables unprocessed.

Lovin my spiralizer!
I gave 4/5 stars because This is a good 'starter' spiralizer. Zucchini and carrots are really good to use. softer veggies, like yellow squash, were too soft and just mushed instead of spiralizing. I called this a starter, because once you start using this you are going to love it. you'll want to spiralize EVERYTHING! and this cannot fit anything too big. An apple cannot fit, nor a larger sized potato. Also there is some mild amount of waste from the tip of the food that you are cutting. (I have seen some products on YouTube that dont waste and cut bigger foods - although they are much bigger in size. This one fits easily in your hand. All that aside, this product does what it is supposed to do easily. It cleans easily with mild soap and water, and it even comes with a little brush I used to clean it, as well as a vegetable peeler that is AWESOME. It takes off the peel in such a thin layer, that it doesn't waste your food. i thought that since it was plastic it wouldn't work, but it was just the opposite. My regular metal veggie peeler takes off too much of the food with the peel sometimes.

A great way to make veggies appealing
I'd never even heard of a spiraliser never mind use one, but as I'm changing to a more healthy way of eating my boyfriend told me about this new trend of spiralising veggies to make healthy food more interesting. After looking at a few products on Amazon I decided on this one for ease of use and cost. It takes a bit of getting use to but once you get the knack it's easy. I've made courgette "spaghetti" so far and it was enjoyed by all of us. Easy to clean with the brush provided and nice and small to stash away once done.
