HoneywellST9400C 7 DAY HEATING PROGRAMMER

Bought as a replacement for my old ST699 (see photo). Not a straight swap, mainly because the physical size of the unit and mountings are different - especially as mine was located between two other switch boxes. The actual wiring was easy and there are plenty of instructions on the Internet showing the two wiring diagrams. The delivery was very quick which was much appreciated as we had no hot water and heating due to failure of the old unity. Excellent service and a good price from this seller.

Easy to fit, just separate the carrier from the unit and then hook it onto your existing carrier already under your old unit.

This product was a replacement for an (old) Drayton Tempus 7 timer. Fitting was easy. Setting up was easy. It works well. (It was NOT made in China !) It also looks good.The LCD display was not easy to see or read with the unit mounted above eye level. It was too bright with poor contrast. I stood on a stool to see it.

Screws securing the programmer to the baseplate are set well back, almost against the wall - thus, a bit fiddly to unscrew and release the front. The 'copy day' facility is a little more complex than it's predecessor. The face is clear and the time/date pre-programmed, but can be changed. Cannot see the benefit of the 'Holiday' setting as just as easy to tab the heating and hot water to 'off' without lifting the cover. Overall, looks like a good programmer.

This was to replace my faulty ST6400C program unit with the newer ST9400C unit. This was just a simple case of taking off old unit from back panel and pluging in the new unit into old back panal. There was no need to touch any of the wiring. Tested hot water and central heating. Fixed my problem and all worked fine. Total time to change unit and test system just 10mins. There wasn't even the need to set clock or program times as this was all factory preset. Of course you can change the on off times for each day if you want to but the preset was fine for me.

Relay wasn't working,just clicking, went worse with time. Ordered this ,came well before the stated time. Just took 20 min to replace and program the daily heating time and was ready. Excellent product

Basically bought this to replace one I damaged. Pushed it in to the old slot. Boom fired up no nonsense! Fantastic.

Hot water Light wont switch off even when on auto and outside the time interval set . but even then it dosnt turn the water heating on. just the light stays on for no reason
