This book is not a good book if you are looking to learn new grammar - it's really designed as a quick review of grammar points you have learned elsewhere prior. It works good for the latter, and pretty bad for the former. There is minimal English in the book and a mere 1-2 sentences in English explaining any given grammar point which again, if it's a new grammar point, is largely insufficient but if it's something you've learned prior it's a good enough reminder.One bone to pick with the book regardless is that in all of the fill in the blank grammar exercises that show pictures, there are no word choices to choose from upon which to perform the grammar conjugation. So then instead of focusing on selecting a word from choices given to perform the actual conjugation/grammar point on, you're stuck wondering what the word is you're supposed to even be starting the conjugation from based on the picture; often there are many different words that could be used for a given picture, and sometimes it's also not clear exactly what the picture is showing, so you pick a completely wrong word out of thin air to conjugate. And yes, the very first fill in the blank exercise in the book is like this, so you get off to a real slow start wondering what you are doing wrong, and then trying to figure out where the answers are in the back of the book just so you can see what the words were they were looking for just so you can see what you were supposed to conjugate. If there is a fill in the blank exercise with 5 sentences, then they need to ensure there is a bank of 5 word choices below it for ALL exercises, whether or not there are pictures. It's too easy to lose the grammar point of the exercise because you are trying to figure out what the base word to conjugate is even supposed to be.Would only recommend as a review tool, NOT a learning tool.

Very good

Explains grammar points clearly and provides adequate sample sentences. The only problem is that the grammar points are not arranged systematically as I'd like but that might be a personal preference.
