Lightweight, Bright, and Built to Last
Perfect for clinical use — lightweight, bright LED, and includes a pupil gauge right on the side. Batteries were included, which is always appreciated. Great tool for nursing students or anyone in healthcare.

Cheap but well worth it.
It's not a $100+ Welsh Allen by any stretch of the imagination. The pen is not well constructed... but not poorly either. The light is of the absolute cheapest quality. But it has a nice pupil diameter gauge which I measured and seems accurate. And it's like $5. So, you get what you pay for. Cheap ultra thin metal tube with 2 AAA batteries that were included. So... why do I give this 5 stars? Because it was $5... it didn't make any boisterous claims... only that it was "re-useable"... which it is. So, for the price, it delivers. And it does the trick. It will work in a pinch. I bought it because I lost my halogen WA penlight... After getting this. I will definitely spend the extra $$ to buy the real deal... but I don't regret the purchase and will keep this in my glove compartment as a spare.

Love the pupil size guide on the side
Good pen light. Love that it has the pupil size guide on the side. That is very tough to distinguish just eyeballing it and guessing. This helps make my patient reports more accurate when I use this pen light. It is small and convenient. The pockets for pens in my work shirts holds this light very easily. Pen slides in without any trouble and fits properly. It is a little cheaply made, but it has lasted me several months already at this point. I feel if I drop it a few times, it will no longer work. Good product. Good, useful purchase.

We Love these Lights!
My wife and I are EMT's on a Volunteer Department. We got these because the pen lights that the Department issues us are the disposable kind that always seem to be too dim and they burn out too fast. So we thought we would try this LED penlight, especially since you can change the batteries. So we were actually excited when they arrived and were trying them out right away. They seemed very bright and have a sturdy feel to them, unlike the disposable ones. So far, we LOVE these lights and we've used them a lot. They've been dropped on the ground, in the snow on the floor in back of the ambulance, etc. but they keep on working without any problems. We also discovered that they double as miniature flashlights when we need a little extra light looking around the scene or in the ambulance. The only con, if it's a con at all is that because they're so bright, MAKE sure you don't shine them directly into your patient's eyes!!Excellent light! Highly recommend buying some of these if your an EMT or Firefighter!!

Exactly As You See It
I believe this is one of those products that once received or even when looking to purchase, what you see is what you get. The light functioned properly and the instrument is more than capable of meeting its much intended purpose and end goal. The light was surprisingly bright for the first few days of use then slowly started to dim, with minimal use. It would be nice if there was a product description, something that listed the instruments purpose, uses, and who may have use for them. I believe that in itself would help greatly with selling for the obvious reason of it being marketed/advertised appropriately. Also, when buying there is no mention of brand familiarity or popularity, and nothing mentioning what may be needed in order to actually operate this product, such as batteries. Besides those few things the instrument was put to use and achieved what was intended of it!

cheap and disposable
worked great in the beginning. however in less than a month it would no longer work when pressing the metal clip down. the point of contact had worn down so much you had to press it down and then to the right or left so that it actually worked, this obviously took away from the ease of use. should be called disposable pen light due to the cheap price and quick wear out time. trashed it after less than a full month use.

Worth the buy if you want simple and not too bright of a light
I'm giving the Primacare LED Penlight a 5-star because it is the only one that works for me. The light isn't the greatest for build, but it is an old-fashioned light that does not kill someone's eyes as the LED light do. I bought a regular LED light and it is just too bright, although very durable. This penlight is not the most durable, but you can definitely shine it in patients eyes without blinding them. I will probably have to buy more because I hear they don't work very long as compared to the others, but that's ok until I find a more durable penlight that isn't so bright.
