Fresh and Tastes Great
I ordered this to make pineapple fried rice and I got a good size and nice quality one. It wasn’t too ripe so I was able to store it and use it in a day or two. It was juicy and sweet, but healthy ad well so you don’t feel guilty about eating it. The outside is also hard enough that you can use it as a plate for less cleaning, and the inside was slightly soft and easy to cut.

Pineapple Upside down!
Pineapples are good and ripe. Very juicy. I prefer to eat plain or mix with other fruits like kiwi and cherries.

Do Not Expect to Eat Immediately
Like many items you will receive (especially for food), it rarely looks like the picture so if you are expecting a golden pineapple ready for eating you are LIKELY to be disappointed so check your expectations and meal plan. Often times I receive a pineapple that is not ripe (at all for that matter) and I must place in my window upside down so that it gets golden and the sugars evenly distribute to the head of the pineapple. However, this does not always work if the pineapple was picked too early, it will molecularly degrade and taste like nothing so it is a hit or miss when someone is picking it for you. A good indicator that it is ready to cut into is when it is golden AND a leaf can easily be pulled from the head. Hope this helps

Looked perfect, but had to toss it!
The crown was beautiful, no limp leaves. There was a small area developing pineapple color, otherwise it was firm and very green. As expected it needed to "hang out" on the counter for a couple of days until it ripened. But it didn't "ripen" as expected: it went from not ripe to rotten. I tried cutting it anyway and salvage what I could but even the semi-good pieces (darker color, taste of alcohol developing, not that sweet but not rotten) went bad in the refrigerator the next day. The months for good pineapples is upon us so I though it was safe to try it. Hard to buy this kind of product without "seeing, smelling and pinching". Will buy many more pineapples, but not until I can go into the store!
