Our association leader recommended this book to me and I would like to in turn recommend this to you. This is so helpful in making our conversations count to help others not waste their life. So good.

Lead by Transformation uses this book and it is excellent. I started going to another coaching school, and they give no reference book, so I use this. Although the cost is higher for their second course, I will try and attend as using this book and how they teach has transformed my approach.

This book has led to a major turning point in my life. For years, I had been looking for a way of leading and using my natural talents more effectively. I had learned about coaching and finally decided I wanted to try it. Keith's book was the first one that I picked up. It gave a clear overview of coaching and gave me the confidence to start practicing it. This is the kind of book that you pick up when you don't just want to read, but actually put into practice a new skill. It is concise, doesn't belabor the point and gives a very practical model to lead to beginner coaching sessions. For leaders who are struggling to get the best out of their team or who want to be more rounded, this is the perfect book. Even for people who have coached before, the COACH Model really helps you to learn and practice foundational coaching skills. It has given me so much more confidence in myself and can't wait to continue using my coaching skills. Read this book!

Practical techniques for helping others overcome obstacles and take the next steps toward being who they are designed to be. COACH is an effective tool for asking the right questions and allowing others to travel their own journey to become all they were meant to be.

This was a very delightful book to read. The author did an excellent job of bringing together enriching stories of real life coaching examples for the reader's practical application. I studied this book while preparing to meet with a new coaching client and found that our experience was much more engaging than previous coaching clients. I also found much application that I can use in my job as a department head. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to sharpen their leadership skills.

This book covers the model for coaching and has many questions and illustrative stories in each. As I read, I could see many of the things that my coaches have used with me.One of the things that really stood out to me were that coaching relies on the Holy Spirit and personal insight that the person has, and the approach allows you to skip getting a lot of the background.Another piece was how the model ties together in a cycle that allows you to follow up, determine the outcomes for the time together, and move forward.I particularly liked how to deal with failure in your coachee to help them see progress or think through the process for more insight better.The book concludes with how to put these things into practice in multiple areas of life, opening the door to use these skills in any relationship.

I’ve been in developing people for most of my adult life. With employees to walking friends and family through grief. However I’ve used my own experiences to shape how I walk people through these difficult seasons. This book changed the way I see strategic conversations. I realize now that making something all about me shifts the focus off the person I actually want to see develop. This book helped me see that to really see someone flourish I should stop making it about me and ask better question. Already just in conversation while reading this book I can see emendate results in asking strong questions.Thanks for writing such rich words.

Absolutely phenomenal book! Keith gives practical, easy to understand techniques for coaching anyone. He tells lots of great stories that bring the model alive. You’ll use these tools with your kids, both adult and younger, at work, with friends - basically in every important relationship in your life.With that said, one might believe it is not for professional coaches. Nothing could be further from the truth. It’s this very book that pushed me into professional coaching. I am now an ICF certified coach and I use Keith’s book as the very foundation of my practices.Lastly, some may think that because it is written from Christian worldview that it is not useful outside of faith-based contexts. This again is not at all true. I use The Coach Model with marketplace leaders all the time and they appreciate it!
