Promise

Great album. My favorite Ringworm release to date and a classic. I first heard this in 1996 and it had the Angry Samoans cover 'Gimme Soppor' on it. This version does not contain that cover song, however it has the band's original songs off the album and the original demo that sounds killer and gives you the perspective of the slightly different approach the band took when laying down the tracks for the actual album, 'The Promise'. 'Numb' is one of my all time favorite instrumentals because of it's raw power. Stripped down, pissed off, powerful, fast and aggressive are adjectives that best describe this disc. The CD comes with liner notes and lyrics by band members.

Fantastic hardcore that gets you moving. Nice crunchy metallic riffs with quick bursts and changes really hits hard. Love it.

A perfect album

This is the re-issue of Ringworm's early material including THE PROMISE. Ringworm plays straight up hardcore. Think late 80's NYHC mixed w/ thrash metal. If you're into Integrity or One Life Crew, you NEED to check this. This is one of the land mark Clevo HC recordings. 100% real deal eveil hardcore. Fast, agnry, and tough as nails.

I have to admit that the angry samoans cover seemed a bit out of place at the end of the record, but it was cool.

Definitely not for everyone, but if you like fast music with vocals shouted through gnashed teeth, you will more than likely enjoy it. I certainly did.
