UNLOCKED HUAWEI E585 3G HSDPA OLED WIFI WCDMA MODEM MOBILE

I bought this in preparation for my trip. Prior to ordering the item I didn't check the estimated time of arrival of the gadget. Its only a day after that I found out that estimated time of delivery would be later than my departure. SO I decided to cancel my order the day after but the seller has already sent the item for delivery. He just instructed me to have somebody receive it (if im not around) and return the item once it arrive at my home. Bummer!All that I could hope that time was that it will arrive prior to my travel. By the way they ship it from HK.It was an answered prayer because it indeed arrive earlier than expected. Seventeen days before the estimated time of arrival to think it comes all the way from HK.I never had any problems setting it up. Battery even lasted for 4 hours no stop.Got two gadgets attached to it (laptop and iphone). But what I have noticed is that battery life can be longer if you don't frequently turn on and off the gadget. Ironic but thats what I observed.Another major concern for me is that, THIS GADGET RESTARTS on its own. So sometimes when I'm streaming a show using dvdxen, putlocker etc. and all of the sudden the gadget restarts. Crap! I have to start all over again. Anybody who have encountered same problems? Hope you can help me. Without this flaw this gadget is superb !

How disappointing. The security seal on the box was broken when it arrived. Upon further inspection this device came from Australia. Probably bought cheap over there and unlocked (most likely also the reason the box seal was broken). Then when trying the MiFi out I noticed that "Maritime" was flashing on the screen, which seemed unusual. Then when I tried to look for the SSID, it was nothing close to what was printed on the inside of the device. Somebody has already used the MiFi for a Regatta or so. They had changed the SSID of the device. Maritime was the clue... then I noticed a "Regatta 20" with a strong signal in my available devices list. Tried this with the pin that was printed on the inside of the MiFi, luckily it worked.Pros:It works. Still have to field test it. Did not work with my AT&T 3G sim.Cons:- Seal was broken- Device came from Australia. I found online that they were basically giving these devices away over there. Some labels were peeled off from the box.- No "Keep sake card with predefined SSID and Network key" was included.- Device was used. Somebody set it up for a Regatta, used it for a while and most likely returned it. - The SSID was change from : "pocketwifi-6c2e" to "Regatta 20"

Besides the battery seeming to run out rather fast, maybe because I will be using it heavily, this product seems to work very well. I have used it in two African countries during trips there and it was wonderful. Reception is fast, it has been easy to use and so far I did not need to do any setting up. All that I needed was to insert a sim card that enables data and then switch it on and I was in business. The only slight problem, and it is not really a big issue is to open the back to insert or remove a sim card. The back cover is not easy to remove. The good thing is that I don't need to remove it too often, a positive aspect of not being able to remove it too easily is that things don't fall apart. I store username and password on a piece of paper meaning that I never really have to open the back to find these everytime. I have also been able to use this item with other people simultaneously. I have also used this item in moving car which was going at 120 km/h. So it really worked wonderfully for me and I would recommend it. I just wonder whether a replacement battery will be easy to find if I ever need to replace on.I would it again with no hesitation.

I just received this product and use it in the bush of Africa. the set up is easy. the battery is a bit short, maybe we need to put it into sleep mode when not using. It seems to work when any computer is open even if we aren't using internet. My biggest disappointment is that it has weak reception. I live in a remote place where my phone has to be in a window to get 4-5 bars. but when I put the hotspot in the window at the same place, it only gets 1 bar of signal strength.. We will continue to play with it b/c it's great to use with 2 or more people rather than my old way of using bluetooth and a phone. It is a bit faster than this.

This is a great option for using your wireless devices anywhere and you do not need to purchase iPads with 3G or kindles, etc... it supports up to 5 devices simultaneously. I live in Brazil so I bought the unlocked Huawei and then had it connected to my local cellular company. They could not tell me how to make it work, but after registering with Huawei online, I accessed their support numbers. One call to technical support and they told me what the access point and userid/password was for my Brazilian cell phone company. After I set that up everything worked fine. I am very happy with this product and the technical support that Huawei provided. Now when I am out shopping and my Portuguese is not sufficient, I just pull out my iPad and google translate what I want to say.I recommend this to anyone with wireless devices they want to use anywhere.

The product itself is great and operates exactly as described. You just need to take care that you should carry the charger in order to recharge the battery when needed (but battery life is overall good). What is really special is the service level. While opening the package, the battery dropped by mistake in the house, and I thought that the product was shipped without the battery. When I sent to the seller that the product was shipped without the battery, they offered a full refund. I truly respect this amaizing level of service.. these guys really care about the after-sales service, even though it was my mistake. I refunded back the product cost, and I am happy using this great product while writing this mail. Thank you!

Was able with some online help to get this up and working on B Mobile in Japan. You need to be a bit tech savvy but I had mine up in 15 minutes. Next week I'll be dumping B Mobile for BicSim and I will likely take it 5 stars if I can get it working easily.

Ce qui est décrit dans la courte notice fournit avec ne doit fonctionner que dans certains cas idéales. Le tutoriel décrit dans les autres commentaires n'a pas fonctionné pour moi.J'ai donc fait mon propre petit tutoriel pour expliquer ce qu'il fallait faire pour faire fonctionner ce modem 3g avec un abonnement Free Mobile Illimité1 - Insérer votre carte Sim dans l'appareil. La code pin de la carte Sim doit être désactivé. Sinon dans le paramétrage de l'appareil, il y a une section pour renseigner le code PIN (non testé).2- Allumé l'appareil et se connecté dessus en Wifi. Le code d'apairage du wifi est situé sous la batterie.3- Lancer votre navigateur web et aller à l'adresse [...]4- S'identifier Admin / Admin (bien penser à la majuscule)5- Aller dans "Advanced settings", "Connection settings". Puis "Profile settings".6- Créer un nouveau profile "Free" et rensigner "APN Static" à "free" (en minuscule)7- Sauvegarder le profil et vous pouvez surfer tranquillement.Si vous avez des questions, n'hésitez pas à poster des commentaires sur mon Google+.

j'ai longtemps cru qu'il ne marchait pas, jusqu’à ce que je découvre ( après des semaines), que je devais changer des paramètres APN pour mon opérateur dans les paramètres avancés , APN:orange , Nom d'utilisateur:orange, Mot de passe:orange). Maintenant il fonctionne très bien. l'autonomie de la batterie est excellente ( environ 8 h / illimitė si branchė sur un port usb). La portée pour l’émission du wifi est assez bonne ( 7m). Je connecte dessus en meme temps un PC , une tablette et un smartphone. Le debit en 3g est bon ( se connecte meme en H sur le reseau SFR avec ma carte sim JoeMobile)), equivalent à celui de ma box à la maison. C'est un super outil, idéal pour les vacances. Je le recommande.

Quasiment impossible de trouver un hotpot Wifi fonctionnant avec une carte 3G en france hormis chez un opérateur. Celui-ci fonctionne très bien (forfait bouygues 5Go pour moi) et capte de façon fiable le réseau, avec tous les opérateurs !- Configuration rapide et simple par l'interface Web du module.- Autonomie supérieure à celle annoncée de 4h.- Ecran regroupant les principales informationsS'il fallait donner un point négatif : les nombre maximum d'appareils connectés qui est de 5...Je le conseil fortement (après 5 mois d'utilisation)

Le SAV est de Amazon aura été impeccable... En effet, ce produit, sans doute excellent, n'est pas débloqué pour mon opérateur donc retour à l’expéditeur...

Un bon produit, mais quelques soit la SIM, les performances sont très moyennes tant sur les temps de réponses, que sur la connectivité
