I've been trying for a long time to recreate the flavor of my favorite Thai red curry, but every homemade blend I made fell short. I started trying to purchase premade blends, but most of them were either too sour, too sweet, or too salty. Finally I found this brand recommended on a thai cooking blog. My local grocer didn't have it, but of course Amazon did! I whipped up a curry with just some bamboo, onion and tofu and a hearty spoonful of this curry paste. It was delicious!!! Still not as good as the curry at the restaurant, but as close as I've gotten so far. Very happy I found this brand.

This is a fantastic product with authentic flavors and would definitely buy again.

I concur with other reviewer that the taste is just pepper and salt.. no lemongrass or galangal flavor.. and its the probably the worst tasting red paste i have tasted.. will not buy it again

I have struggled to find a red curry paste that tastes anything like what you get at good Thai restaurants. This definitely delivers. I use about 2 tablespoons paste per can of full fat coconut milk. This paste can get spicy, so keep that in mind when cooking with it. I also found adding a pinch or 2 of brown sugar adds a nice dimension as well, but this paste really does not even need that. Definitely a winner in my book! Also, make sure you store this in a glass of plastic container once opened. Wouldn't want to waste any of this!

Used to use Thai Kitchen and it just tastes like its store bought. This paste tastes like its from your favorite Thai restaurant. I put the remaining in a jar and keep it in fridge. Couple tablespoons of this, a can of coconut milk, some fresh ginger, chicken and or vegetables and you're on your way to an awesome Thai dish.

This is NOT the taste of RED Thai curry paste. I am very disappointed. I bought two packs based on reviews and shipped them all the way to Trinidad, and they arrived very fast. However, I tried making a Red Thai curry dish and the taste was a disappointment. It did not have any flavor of Lemongrass and was just quite salty, not flavourful at all. I will not buy this again. Not tasty at all.

I love this curry past. Flavors are spot on and fresh tasting. I have compared many other brands and this by far wins the taste test. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, is that the packaging could use some work.
