In The Swim Pool Shock – 68% Cal-Hypo Granular Sanitizer for Crystal Clear Water – Defends Against Bacteria, Algae, and Microorganisms - 24 X 1 Pound

My pool was green as grass.. With all this rainy weather I was having a hard time working on it. When the acid came I added 2 cups to the deep end and 4 cups chlorine. It started changing colors the next day. I have continued to use the chlorine wit a little less acid and now I can see the bottom in the deep end. I will continue to use this method until I get the pool clean.

A must have on hand. I generally use professional gallon chlorine because of it's purity and lack of stabilizer or CA, but this stuff is great to have on hand. Also, it has the benefit of lasting longer the gallon chlorine, especially if you are using a bromine treatment for algae. This is a must have imo, and this brand is top quality and %. If you are on well water you do not want any higher then 68%, it will excite copper and iron ions if you do and you will have another problem. You also dont want less, as in those in the 50's % chlorine are completely ineffective. For some reason I still like the gallon stuff from pool store, not the ones in a box, the ones in a crate, best stuff but is about double the cost of this stuff when it'son sale. Store up this product lasts at least a year in a cool dark place. glad to get this from amazon so not to buy elsewhere.

Unfortunately in the swim discontinued there “super shock” which was 73% vs this product at 63% which is comparable to most other brands. This product works well and with chlorine tablets is the only chemicals required to maintain a clean pool.I haven’t found an other shock which provides durability, longevity and value for your money, and does a good job either to prevent or get rid of algae without effecting Ph levels !

I will get this shock every time. It is potent and keeps my pool sparkling and clear.

I love this shock, easy to use. I personally mix it in a bucket with hot water from the house, and pour it in around dusk, i have a 27ft round pool, 1 bag works great for me. we also have ionizer on our pool.
