Absolutely Awesome for training a rescue puppy. š
I rescued a 6-month-old Shepherd husky mix on October 5th of 2023 that is too smart for his own good. I have p5 acres fenced in and he would climb the fence not jump it, climb like a monkey. He's well-trained in the home but when he gets outside there were too many squirrels. When he would get out he would run to neighbor's properties and harass their chickens. He had been shot at once that I know of by one of the unsavory neighbors in the area. He was not hit but he did come running back. He had gotten out a total of five times in 6 months that I know of. But since I received the mini educator my problems have dissolved. I've been training him as he gets near the fence I tap him and he runs away from the fence. I've had to use the minimum shock four or five times when I first received it as he would go near the fence to try to climb it. That was the first weekend. I have had it now for a week and for the last 6 days he does not even want to go near the fence. I would hate to have to use the boost shock on him because I tried it on myself and that is rough but if he does get over the fence again I will use it. He is also a very smart dog you can call him and you can see him thinking about it but this only happens when he's off leash and outside. Now when I call him and he looks at me and I see he's starting to think I tap him he comes right over and sits right next to me. One other thing is that he will get a blinding zoomy meaning he will start running and he's not focused on anything but just the running and with other dogs you can call them and they would stop. with my guy if you could grab him you could just see his head moving in his eyes would be just wanting to roam everywhere and it would take 5 seconds for him to actually focus and come back to who he is. When he got the zoomies the last time I tapped him and he came right over and sat next to me. I hope this helps some of you with a semi problem dog but this product works. He weighs about 80 lb and now he's about 1 year and 2 months old.I had almost thought about taking him to a rescue shelter after he climbed the fence the last time. This product was his last chance to stay with me because I just can't handle a dog that will climb fences and want to get out especially when they have five acres wooded and grass to live in. So far this product has worked miracles for him and me. As far as the settings go I set the regular shock at 36 which then would be the boost to 96. I tested it on myself first the 36 is a good boost and it brings him back immediately. The tap I do believe is a general sensation and that is maybe 1/5 the sensation of the regular shock. I also tested that out on myself first. When I first received it I had to call the company to help with 3 questions .it is an American company I talked to a representative who said she lived in Indiana within 2 minutes I had the collar and the remote setup no problems. I only had a few questions because the directions are a little confusing and she even said there are some things that are vague. one of the things that are vague or how to turn it on. there is a red dot on the side of the remote controller and a red dot on top of the collar sensor you touch them together and it turns on. It works like a charm. Then the charging; he wears a collar between 6 to 8 hours a day and I charge it every other day depending on how many times I have to tap him. The instructions say do not let the batteries get below 50% and to charge it up so the batteries will last a very long time if you do that. That is what the instructions in the manual say to do. Sometimes I charge it up at the end of the day if I tap him a couple of times it takes 15 to 20 minutes to charge it up and I'm good to go. I am very happy with this product. There is also an LED light on the collar so when he's in the woods I hit the light sensor button on the back of the remote and it comes on it's like a headlight but it's on his neck. It can go from a blinking LED every two to three seconds to a solid LED light I've used that a couple of times just to see if it worked he was about 500 ft from me came on immediately. I hope I never have to test the half mile range of this but so far the longest distance I've had to tap, shock or turn the light on is about 800 ft and it is instantaneous.I watched multiple videos on 10 different e-collars then research them and I settled on the mini educator it seemed to be more durable, used by more trainers and the most important part made in the USA with customer service based in the United States. From what I saw from the other e-collars they were not.AS an ending note now my rescue puppy repeatedly comes back and looks for me at least every 10 minutes and it is only been one week. I have had dogs before but I always got them between 12 and 8 weeks old they were easily trained and they were all trained up by me by the time they were 3- 4 months old. This is my first rescue puppy which I rescued him from a truck stop in Amarillo Texas he was emaciated, his pads on his paws were torn up and he had a bad case of diarrhea. At the time I rescued him he was approximately 5 to 6 months old per the vet. He had no collar no tags and no chip. I called the rescues in the area and the shelter no one had claimed him as missing and they told me when I asked them if it was okay if I could keep him. they said please do we are being overrun with dogs being turned in or loose dogs roaming around.. He is an extremely happy, smart and now thanks to the mini educator well-trained off leash and like I said it has only been one week šš

Freedom and Life
I just found out yesterday that my girl, Lucca, has a mast cell tumor on her back. Sheās scheduled for surgery and she may end up totally fine but she also may not have much longer to live if the tumor is aggressive. She is only five years old and we adopted her from a rescue at two years old (she was a momma dog from a high-kill shelter). I knew she was ours when I saw her photo and we immediately adopted her on first-sight. She was just about perfect in every way except we quickly found out she ran away. Not just running, but all-out sprinting (and she was full-grown). My youngest son constantly left doors open at the time, we have a couple acres that would be hard to fence in and we didnāt have a way to gate off all entrances/exits to our home. Lucca sprinted after vehicles, chased deer through fields and bolted in front of vehicles on our icy dirt road. She couldnāt even handle being on a long leash without trying to escape. I needed to keep her safe as well as others but I was honestly to the point of thinking we couldnāt keep her but also that her next home would have no other choice but to chain her up. I donāt know Luccaās past but it seems she was chained up and so infested with fleas she chewed her teeth down to the gums. I couldnāt imagine sending her back to a similar life but I also didnāt know how to keep her and others safe. A friend who has lots of dog training experience helped me train Lucca with an e-collar. It was much different training than I had done with my other dogs and I was honestly uncomfortable with it at first. I had only provided positive reinforcement to my other dogs but no amount of treats would stop Lucca from bolting. We started working with Lucca on a 20 foot leash and teaching her ācomeā with raw venison (or a very high-value treat). We worked over and over until she knew the meaning of ācomeā and received a treat when she did it. Once I was confident she knew what I was asking of her we used a chain collar on the 20ft leash. If she didnāt immediately obey when I said ācomeā then I would quickly yank the leash and when she ran up to me she got her reward. I continued this until she immediately obeyed (and got a treat) and I rarely needed to yank the leash. Once she was to that point we added the e-collar along with the chain collar with the 20 ft leash. If she didnāt immediately obey ācomeā I yanked the leash and beeped the collar at the same time and if she continued to not listen then I started using the stimulation at the very lowest level she could sense and increased the stimulation gradually until she listened (and then she got a treat). At this point the only reason she wouldnāt immediately obey was she was being disobedient. She knew exactly what was being asked through lots of previous training and positive rewards and was consciously deciding to ignore the command. Lucca and I walked and hiked almost daily and worked on our training during these outings as well. It took about six months and I was able to start her off-leash in fenced-in areas and then I began allowing her for short amounts of time off-leash on hikes and gradually increased her off-leash time as she demonstrated the ability to listen. It took quite a bit of work but I now usually just use the beep on a hike to get her attention to follow me on a hike if sheās focused on smelling or tracking something. I use ācomeā only as an emergency command when I expect her to without a doubt immediately obey (and hopefully I have treats on hand to reward). I use the command very sparingly but she has a fantastic recall (you also have to continue the training every now and then or they wonāt continue to listen). Iāve been thinking about how sheās only five years old and how horrible it would be if I lost her so young but then I thought about how much LIFE and how much FREEDOM sheās had in the three years Iāve had her which without a doubt have been because of her e-collar. Lucca has hiked almost daily, gone rustic camping, stayed in cabins, sprinted across deserted beaches, chased waterfalls, climbed a mountain, splashed in rivers, tracked animals, become best friends with her dog sister and been the most amazing dog I could ever dream to have in my life, for my family and for my boys. Sheās lived more in those three years than most dogs get to do in a lifetime and Iām so thankful for that freedom the e-collar gave her and how much life she has experienced and how much love she has given to us and us to her. I had hoped for eight or so years more with her but if itās cut drastically short I will always know she truly lived a life of adventure and freedom. Thank you for creating a product that allows dogs like Lucca to truly live. ā¤ļø

Literally life changing!
Iām writing this review 5 years after I purchased this collar. I initially bought it to train my older husky recall because we were moving to our new house in 2020 that was right by the highway and I was very nervous about him escaping. I ended up not using it and just storing it away in our new attic. Fast forward to 2025, and we have just rescued a younger husky. He is insane, to say the least and is constantly annoying my older husky. I suddenly remembered I bought this collar and pulled it out of the attic. I watched a few YouTube videos and talked to a friend who successfully trained her young dog with this collar. Itās only been two days of him wearing it and a few training sessions, and I have to say the difference is night and day. It does certainly help that he is extremely smart and came from the shelter knowing a few commands. However, after only 3 15-minute training sessions, he comes when he is called even without the collar and i have even been able to recall him while heās in the middle of trying to initiate play with my older dog when said older dog isnāt interested. Iām definitely going to continue his training with this collar, as itās already brought me and my older dogs soooo much peace in only two days. I will say Iām not a fan of the strap for the collar, as itās super tedious to take on and off, but I ordered one of Educatorās buckle collars which comes today, so Iām excited about that.
