Ruler

These are sturdy, accurate, and easy to read. The only reason I left off one star is because they don't come with a mounting hole. I had to drill a hole in one end to store it on my pegboard.That's personal preference of course, you might not hang your rulers, but if you do just note that you'll have to drill the hole.

Got these as a "little something" for my husband who really liked my straightedge metal architectural drawing ruler, but he needed something sturdy, not bendy or flexible like mine. I knew what he meant, so just before this coming Father's Day, I purchased this set and gave it to him as an added early gift before he set out to the local hardware box shop (HD). These arrived the next day. So excited when I took them out and hoping these were sturdy, not flexy... sure enough sturdy little guys indeed. Measurement markings on both sides and accurate. He loves the fact that it's so precise (perfectionist), comes in a set of 3 necessary sizes for his project needs, and how sturdy they are. An hour after he examined them, I got a hubby nod of approval! Yay me. They were not costly, so in the case they do not last, I do plan to buy more. They appear of great quality. My review is based on appearance and husband approval, not yet tested under vigorous day to day use. They look like they will last, though the markings may wear out over time, in my honest opinion. However, that will be based on heavy use in a long stretch of time. My streightedge ruler has similar markings and I've used it for several years and the markings are still accurately visible, so I assume these will be the same. I really like them. In realtime as I write this review: thinking I'll get myself a set for my craft tool box...lol.

For some reason my first set was missing the 6" ruler. I messaged the seller and they immediately sent me a full new set. So I'm extremely happy there.The rulers have one minor flaw. It only applies to about half the scales, especially the finer gradations. The lines for fractions of an inch (or half mm) are all the same length rather than stepping up and down. These same length marks are also quite tall. So combined with how tightly packed the lines are, it's really hard to read from a measure back up to the fraction it represents. The eye wants to jump between lines. In the listing pics you can see this on the 1/64th scale of the 12" and 8" rulers.But the scales with correctly stepped gradations are great to read, the rulers have a very nice heft & stiffness, and I didn't use a caliper but up against other rulers these seem accurate. Certainly close enough for woodworking. One trick is to use the same ruler for an entire project. Even if there's slight inaccuracy you'll have very high consistency. And that's usually what really matters.

Been using the 6 in and 12 in scales, picked up the 8 in scale, fliped over for metric measurements. Something looked wrong, well, the scale has been cut off, scales starts at 10 mm not at 0.If I had inspected these when received, they would have been returned for a new set.like the thickness, like the weight, like the dark engraved numbers, good to have the sleeves for protection when not using.I'm an engineer, so I don't use these daily like a machinest might, I do measure parts and design parts and custom automation.overall, it the 8 in scale had not been cutoff 10 mm short, would have been 5 stars.

I'm happy with these 3 rulers. They are fairly easy to read, no surface damage, and seem relatively durable. Not sure how long they would last under the heavy day to day beating of machine shop use but they are perfect for my needs at home for hobby/generic use. My only complaint is that the corners seem a bit sharp and the edges could have been broken a bit further. You can tell they are a bit cheaper from the rough (partially) unfinished sides, but they certainly exceeded my expectations for the cost.

I am very satisfied. They are as accurate as my expensive ruler. The product I received are very good quality. The edges are very square, but not overly sharp, with no burrs. The etching is deep, clean, and crisp. The hatch lines are a bit longer than some marking styles I prefer, and their length differences between the cardinal and sub markings (such as the 5mm and 1mm marks) are not as offset as some; this makes it a bit harder to quickly read. However, it is minor, and long hatches are actually better in some applications. If what you see in the pictures fits your needs, these are great. Especially at this price point, I recommend highly.

Performs as advertised. Great value. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if it were possible. My only comment is the metal used is a bit soft that the rulers bend very easily even though it is quite thick. I wish they offered a matte finish even if it costs a bit more. For fine measuring, the shiny surface is a bit problematic, but still usable. I took a closeup picture with a digital microscope. The engraving and the paint job of the numbers and lines seem very well done. Pictured is the 0.5mm graduations.

Update 12/20 - I overlooked some of the fit and finish issues when I wrote my last review but I had to return and drop another star because these rulers are not as nice as I made them out to be. The 6" and 12" rulers are not square on the ends which means you get an incorrect measurement on 1 side. All 3 rulers are very scratched as though they've been in use in a machine shop for a while. These will still get some use in my shop when I need something I can beat on without worrying about damaging it.If you looking for an accurate measuring device look elsewhere.Original reviewFor the price they are great. They are accurate enough for my purposes, although the edges are not the cleanest of machining. I did need to gently file one of the 3 in order to clean up the sharp edges. The others were better, although not up to the level you would expect from a much more expensive ruler. But since these are not much more expensive rulers that is easily forgivable.

Purchased these for technical drawings at work and 3d printing drafts.These are very good rulers compared to cheaper (and some price competitive rulers)Very accurate and very clear to read, and to make it better it doesn't have a hanging-eye on one side like many other rulers have.There is some minor bowing from the 20cm and 30cm rules however these are insignificant for my use and as every rule, can be sorted by pressing flat on a before taking a measurement.There are some very tiny burrs across the etching marks. These are not visible, but can be felt when running a tool/pen/pencil across its face.One of my favorite things on a cheaper ruler like this, is that they used once side for each unit of measurement.I.e. one side is imperial, and one side is metric. This makes measuring from either side of the ruler much easier.And its something I've not found from other products in its price range.All in all its mostly down to personal preference.To summarize, its a great value especially its a set of 3!Fantastic for homework, graph drawing.Accurate enough for technical drawingsVery clear text.Minor imperfections which can be easily over looked considering the price point.Will definitely buy again.

...anything less than 12" long.Stainless steel so have that nice engineered feeling and unlikely to wear out anytime soon.Short of a grinder or other form of cutter these should survive combat with a knife when ensuring that paper/card/laminate are cut to your chosen dimensions.Being only 150mm long they are better able to fit into smaller spaces..which may be useful.

Three metal rulers which each come in a plastic sleeve - blue for the 12 inch, yellow the 8 inch and red the 6 inch. One side of each ruler is clearly marked in inches, the other side in centimetres. Just what I wanted and good value for money in my book.

What can you say about a ruler (or three)? They're a good weight, sturdy but not too heavy. Lovely smooth edges so nothing to catch on my work and clear markings in both Imperial and metric.

From the picture online it looks like the product is several rulers. In fact there are three. Very misleading picture
