Way better quality than I expected.
This item is great quality, not as light but that is because it isn't made out of just plastic. Got it for my son's 6th birthday and he loved it!! They were doing a survival quest at school and he was so excited to use it when we went camping. Great gift idea!

Very cute
Very cute and does work.. it’s opposite to the way I thought it would work.. the big opening is what you look in. It is a great telescope for my 5 year old.came with a bag and lenses and a compass.. Fun for my son and it’s not to heavy and durable

Glad I ignored the bad reviews
This telescope works so great, especially for the money. Perfect size to sit on a table for a Quick Look out for sea life at the beach

This spyglass is worth the money it costs
"I really like this spyglass. It really is quite easy to focus. And if you want to look at something that is a medium distance away, it can do that."My son, aged 7

Descent, could be better!
First of all, the fit and finish of the product is fine. It has a nice collapsing action, but the fit of the largest felt bushing was unsatisfactory to my critical eye. It has a slight wiggle and the felt bushing the brass slides against did not go all the way around thus allowing it to have some undesirable play. I ordered some felt of the same thickness to fix it and so that solves this quality control issue.Secondly, and more importantly, the monocular is NOT a 25x magnification. It’s actually an 11x magnification, and the minimum focusing distance isn’t 6.5ft, either; it’s 14ft.The apparent FOV for the eyepiece is 18.7 degrees, and the real FOV is 1.7 degrees or 90ft @1000yds.Objective lens is more like 29.6mm diameter, and the exit pupil diameter is 2.7mm.The image is ok, but there is some obvious distortion along the peripheral - a small complaint given the price.Weight of the piece is 122.6g.Overall, a slightly disappointing yet respectable monocular for the price. If I could pay more for a higher quality construction with actual brass instead of the brass plated stuff with a much better fit, finish and optically perfect image quality, I would. I’d gladly pay at least $70 instead of $26. It’s honestly a shame with such nice optical glass it comes with. Also, if you ever drop them in water or mud, with the right lens cleaning supplies, you can definitely do a complete teardown and detail.
