An excellent choice for serious hobbyists and pros alike
Ignoring the nutty disclaimer on the Amazon's product page, this is an awesome benchtop multimeter. It is far more accurate than even fairly high-end handheld units (and most of its comparably-priced peers), has an excellent measurement range, very rapid acquisition time, supports high-precision 4-wire measurement of low-resistance loads, features a dual-parameter display, and has a very readable and intuitive user interface. While it's not the cheapest choice in its segment, the whole point of a benchtop meter is to have a very reliable, versatile, precise, and convenient tool - otherwise, you could just settle for a higher-end handheld for under $100. From this perspective, when I investigated it, Keithley 2110 struck me as a much better alternative to $100-$300 units that, say, only give you three significant digits, measure only up to 20 MΩ, can't measure capacitances over 100 µF (or at all), or come with other painful compromises of that sort.

Fast, Accurate, Professional Multimeter.
I've been repairing and restoring electronics for almost 30 years, and an accurate multimeter is a tool I can't live without. The Keithley 2110-120 Digital Multimeter is by far the best and most advanced multimeter I've ever used. I do own an excellent bench multimeter in the BK Precision 2831E True RMS Bench Digital Multimeter, but the Keithley 2110-120 is even more advanced. The Keithley 2110-120 does cost almost twice as much though, so whether it's worth spending the extra money depends on your needs/wants. The Keithley 2110-120 comes with an excellent set of leads, USB cable, PC software including a full manual on CD, and a certificate of calibration from the factory. The meter has a good, clear display. If I had to critique it, I'd say that it could be bigger. The is a large bezel around the display that could have been a larger display instead. It's not a big deal though. The multimeter is well built too, and has a rubber frame that protects the front and back of it.I tested most of the basic functions of the meter on some ham radios that were in the process of being repaired and a couple that have already been restored. I can say the Keithley 2110-120 performs very quickly and accurately. Anyone familiar with multimeters should have no trouble figuring out the basic measurement functions without the manual. There is definitively a learning curve with the many more advanced features, but someone with advanced knowledge of these features won't have any problems. The last thing I'll address is Amazon's legal disclaimer about the product's usage. The Keithley 2110-120 is intended for "professional and commercial use" due to concerns it could possibly interfere with other electronic devices due to electromagnet emissions. This doesn't mean that it is illegal for a an amateur hobbyist, home mechanic, or anyone else to purchase and use this meter as long as precautions are taken that it doesn't cause any electronic interference. One of the things I tested was the Keithley 2110-120's electromagnetic emissions with one of my EMF meters. My tests concluded that the Keithley 2110-120's emissions were negligible. My opinion is that the meter won't cause any issues outside the room it is being used in, and shouldn't really be a concern. Every meter could be different though, and precautions should still be taken. The Keithley 2110-120 Multimeter is an outstanding meter. If you want one of the fastest, most accurate, advanced multimeters I've ever seen, then I recommend it.

Professional Level Quality - Highly Recommended
This Keithley 2110-120 Digital Multimeter is truly a professional level device! I have a EE degree and worked as both a bench tech or field service engineer for most of my professional career, and can easily say that this very versatile multimeter is on par, or even better, than any that was provided for my use.The physical quality is quite good and it should hold up well on a workbench or at a client's location, since it is small and rugged enough to be portable. The unit has two inputs and can monitor both simultaneously, which can be very useful when analyzing a circuit or system. This also has USB and a General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB), which is functionality that none of older test equipment had. This is not really intended for home or hobbyist use, although I know some HAM radio operators that could take advantage of the unit's functionality.Highly Recommended!CFH

Does it all!
Unboxed this in the presence of a retired electrician who still does a good bit of tinkering. He was very impressed, said it can do more than all his other meters put together. Build quality is solid and it can measure pretty much everything a person could need to measure. Quite a multimeter.
