I found it a little hard to screw together because the cord gets a bit twisted up in the metal tube between the top and the bottom but after getting past that hurdle... it's a nice lamp. Heavier than what you would guess by looking at the picture although the bottom plate is made of cardboard (i.e. the underneath of the base part). For an inexpensive lamp it works well. I would like to note that it has the Euro Connector type of lamp shade so be aware that it's going to be a real journey for you to ever find an inexpensive new lampshade if you want to. I know this because I have purchased new Euro Connector lampshades. But, the lamp is inexpensive enough that I probably will just throw it out in 5 years and get a new one if the lampshade looks nasty. Brand new it looks great though. It's pretty tall too.

Love this lamp!! I had been looking for a basic lamp that wasn’t boring for a while, knowing I wanted a black stand with a white shade. This was is simple yet elegant. It is the perfect height for a side table. We bought one for our living room and are planning to buy two more for our nightstands in the future.

This is a very simple lamp which is what I wanted. It is easy to assemble and looks fine on our small end table. It only can take a 60 watt bulb. We originally wanted a lamp that could take a 3 way bulb with higher wattage but we instead put a smart bulb in and turn it on, dim it, or turn it off using our Echo Show. Because we do use a smart bulb, the annoying placement of the on/off switch isn't annoying us. But it definitely would. It is located down a ways on the cord, not in the usual place where lights turn on and off. I think turning the lamp and off that way would be a hassle especially if it is located somewhere that the online switch is not easily accessible.The base is sturdy enough and I like that this lamp is tall. The lampshade is very simple but suffices. The price was low and the lamp works as advertised. The only real con is the switch placement which I averted by using a smart bulb and having my personal assistant, Alexa, do the honors.

I just love this lamp. It was easy to assemble and puts out great light. I also love the modern look of this lamp. I ordered one for the floor also, and it was just as sleek and modern as the desk lamp. Great buy!!

Was a little skeptical because of the reviews but this lamp is perfect. Simple and sturdy! Works perfectly on our small side table!

I love them!! I bought two for my master bedroom and do not regret it!!! They came excellently packed (thank god because UPS threw it on my front porch after finally finding my house 5 days later. They look amazing and easy to assemble. I do not regret buying them. I might even get some for my kids rooms too!

This is a great lamp for the money, not a easy to assembly as it looks.

It is not as solid and stable as I would prefer but it works well.
