I purchased a couple packs of this seasoning to try after a recent visit to Cardiff by the sea and having the “Cardiff crack” tritip for the first time. I love burgundy pepper tritip and the seaside markets was really good. I followed the instructions for mixing, and added the turbo ingredients as an extra kick to a prime cut tritip from Costco, and it was AMAZING! I vacuum sealed the meat with the marinade and let it sit for 12hours, then transferred that to my Chefs Elite meat tumbler and let it turn for an hour. After bbqing the tritip for some guests, they all wanted to know where to get this seasoning. I hope I’ve drummed up some more customers for this seasoning because it is delicious!

I’ve had the Cardiff Crack from the Seaside multiple times. The wife says that this was better, done at home with a choice tri-tip.It is a bit pricey. Next go around I will use 1/2 the marinade to see how it comes out.Otherwise, I thought it was delicious. I marinaded for 72 hours and when done, I boiled the remaining marinade down a bit and spread on the tri-tip while grilling it. Nice crust, juicy and maga flavorful!Secret tip to cook perfect tri-tip:- Heat grill to high for 20 mins- 2 mins fat side down- 2 mins after flipping- Set grill to low or move to indirect heat- Flip tritip and cook 4 mins- Flip again, 4 mins- Flip, 7.5 mins- Flip, 7.5 mins- Remove from grill to platter- 10 min restPerfect Medium Rare Trip Tip (in widest portion). Works every time.

Absolutely amazing! As close as it comes to the famous San Diego Cardiff crack!!!! Easy to follow instructions, came out perfect!! Will be ordering again.... used a 3lb prime tri tip, marinated for 24 hours. Fantastic product!

We used to live in San Diego and would buy the fresh burgundy tri tip whenever we wanted to cook out. This marinade is ON POINT! We even used in bone-in chicken breasts on a Traeger and they were amazing--made chicken noodle soup afterwards with the bones and meat pieces--holy yum oley!!

Not at all what I had expected

Just moved from San Diego a few months ago and the first local food I started to miss was that amazing burgundy tri tip from Cardiff’s Seaside Market. Super easy to prepare....follow the simple instruction for the flavor boost and don’t skimp on time marinating. Tastes Amazing!Actually easier to make myself than that drive to Cardiff from San Marcos. 😎
