Cheats [DVD]

A pure classic. Glad I found it on dvd! DVD played perfectly.

Just see it 10 times.It's great fun

Can I even tell you that I did think that I would enjoy this movie but I never thought I would love it. Outstanding performances by the 4 young leads, matthew Lawrence, Trevor Fehrman, Matin Starr and Elden Henson. Also tearrific are Griffin Dunne and mary Tyler Moore as the principal who can't ever catch these guys. These guys make cheating a science and there are laughs and snags all along the way.

I'm really not sure why this movie isn't more well known. Cheats is a ridiculously funny film based on a true story, and it has some really perfect moments. It's not a really 'feel-good' ending (it's vaguely "Stand By Me"-ish, inasmuch as a high-school comedy can be compared to a Stephen King story). My copy arrived quickly and in excellent shape.

true story thats a plus, good actors, another plus.dont recall seeing many girls in thisa plus to some.fun storylinenot behavoir I would encourage--but have no problem enjoying it in a moviedeffinatly worth a few bucks, as long as these charters dont turn into role models for youngstersgrinably funny, not lol

this keeps cutting in and out during play which does not make for enjoyable watching.

Was looking for this movie for a while finally found it here n loved it. Great movie great buy. :)

completely satisfied

I made the mistake of watching the extra features. Perhaps this clouded my perspective.I thought the author/director/writer whatever he is/was was a loathsome smug self centred grotesque.If the name (?) Handsome was ever misused OR egotistically added post factum then this is it.Clearly a vanity project.quite what the cover of the box has to do with the film is beyond me.The story was overly long frankly I don't care if it is a true story I find it hard to believe. Even harder when you see what creature this man is.It doesn't score in the teen angst dept. the teen flick dept. it not funny its not clever in fact the more I actually think about the more I realise how rubbish it was. in fact I'm going to make it 2 stars not three.ACID test - would I buy it again/recommend it - NO

For those of you looking for a comparison, this films a cross between, Ferris bueller, Slackers and Van wilder. Its unlikely you've seen it it never reached Uk cinemas, that doesnt mean anything, if you love teen comedies then this is right up there with Road trip and the American pie's.
