I wanted to mic a set of congas & bongos for live gigs. I'd been using boom stands for the job. But since I have a large setup already, I wanted to reduce the amount of stuff I had to lug around, as well as my footprint on stage. These little mounts looked perfect for the job.I mounted one on each conga, and one in between the bongos for an overhead mic. The conga mounts were easy to install and adjusted to the exact position I wanted. I had to get creative with the one on the bongos. I bent the mounting bracket at a 90 degree angle so I could mount it to the stand right between the two drums. It worked perfectly. Now I leave the brackets attached and just remove the rods when not in use. They still fit in their bags this way, too. If I had one minor nitpick it's that the mounts wobble a bit, but it doesn't seem to cause any problems. It's a neat little setup and I couldn't be happier.

Used on my set of gigging congas with sm-57s. Seems like it holds the mic at the perfect height ( since it is adjustable). It has some heft to it. Not a cheap p.o.s. Definitely plan to buy more for my studio congas.

Awesome fit on the hardware. A lot more expensive than the clip ons but much more reliable.

There is a thick rubber piece that connects the two pieces of the holder. I assume the rubber acts as a shock absorber as to not pick up the vibrations of the drum. The problem is, these eventually break off. It’s happened twice now. I’m unable to find a replacemnt clip that fits the thread on the metal rod so I keep having to purchase the whole assembly. When it’s not broken, it works great and I’m not aware of a competitive product that provides the same function.

These are very functional for percussion...I own 4 of these mounts and they work flawlessly. I like that the have virtually no footprint, they are stable and well constructed. I mic my djembe, congas, and bongos with these and I have another for my hihat. Definitely recommend if you like to mic close up without the aid of a enormous mic stand.

These work so great. Easy to install. Holds my mics perfectly. I liked them so well I bought another pair for my travel congas.

This almost didn't fit my djembe. There's rarely much thread available to mount to. The mic clip loosens frequently, so now I always carry a flathead screwdriver to tighten it before every show. It does the job- but just barely.

Use these for my bongos, works great!
