Replaced starter solenoid. Fit as should. I just bent the tabs out and swapped. If not you had to take a lot of stuff off the motor.

OEM
Solenoids received were genuine Mercury parts in small, appropriately labeled cardboard boxes, and made in the USA.

Perfect replacement for the original solenoid
The Down trim solenoid on our ‘06 Crownline failed, so after some research I settled on the Quicksilver as a replacement. Once installed it has worked perfectly every time.Highly recommend this as a cost-effective alternative to a boat repair shop’s higher priced solenoid, not to mention how easy it was to install.

Fixed my starting problem on 20+ year old MercCruiser
The media could not be loaded. I bought the Quicksilver b/c of its brand. There were a good number of options that were considerably cheaper. who knows, maybe some of the cheaper options were the OEM mfgr? I didn't want to mess around, as this was a replacement for my starter solenoid on boat. My ignition was working intermittently, but all my gauges and accessories were working with the ignition key 'on', so assumption was solenoid. That was the culprit. everything works again. Like most boat repairs, it should be easy...until it isn't. My repair was pretty easy, take the carb cover off (1 nut), then replace solenoid. 2 bolts hold the solenoid on, my solenoid happened to be on an assembly, so I had to take a few extras apart. The review is supposed to be about the product. The product worked/works as it's supposed to. Only reason it didn't get a 5* is because of it's price premium vs alternatives. Peace of Mind

My boat RUNS again!
I spent more time than I care to admit tracing my "no start" boat problem down, I determined it was the starter slave solenoid so I ordered one and installed in 15 minutes. My boat started up immediately! Mercuiser 5.7 is back in business!

3.0 Mercruiser OEM part, failed already!
Bought the cheap copycat version as well, huge difference. This is solid and well made, the cheap version feels like it would last 5 minutes. Update...after installing last fall, failed today. Hardly any use. Even the Quicksilver OEM is junk. Unfortunately I ordered another one, cant wait for the torture of installing it. BTW, the solenoid is in the worst place possible. You will need a thin, bent 7/16 wrench for the nut on the back. Order that on Amazon at the same time, save yourself the frustration.
