It just goes righ on.
You have to make sure you clean off all the glass from the previous screen. Also make sure you don't yank on the glue... You can just use the tool to scrap it off. After that, it just goes right on like a lego block.

It's been working great for over a month without issue
My son broke his digitizer, so I bought this as a project for him and I to do and fix his tablet. Unfortunately, work kept me busy for two days after it arrived and I wasn't available to get it put together immediately. The weekend came along, and I asked my son to get his tablet and the package and we'd put it together. He paused for a few minutes... and then told me he had already installed it without my help! My son was 13 and didn't have any problems installing this on his tablet. It's been working great for over a month without issue.

Connector tab on this digitizer screen was off by 1/8" from the tablet itself
Screen was exactly what was needed to replace on Digiland touchscreen tablet. There was a slight problem as the little tab on this digitizer screen that plugs into the body of the tablet itself was a little off. The tablet wouldn't work at first because the tab wasn't in the correct position on the digitizer screen to make the correct contact to the tablet. It was placed too high on this screen (about 1/8") but it was enough that it wouldn't plug into the tablet except at an angle so it kept coming loose. We tried and tried to get the two pieces to connect for about 1/2 an hour before my husband was finally able to do so. Once we got it into position we used a lot of very sticky tape to keep the two connections together and after we did that the screen started working correctly. Advice to you is to put the screen completely in position first before removing the protective stuff over the glue to see if the tab on the digitizer screen is in the correct position as the tab in the tablet and isn't off by 1/8" or more. You're going to have problems connecting the two if the connector on this screen is not exactly where it needs to be.

Open your tablet and get the exact part number off ...
Open your tablet and get the exact part number off of the connector ribbon. This isn't the exact part number for the DL1010Q that I am repairing. The digitizer Top/Bottom (as in the photo to the left) is inverted. The glass doesn't quite fit into the bezel. I'm going to dismiss this as a learning experience as the knowledge I've gained is worth the price of the material. I suspect I can fix this by hacking into the OS, but the lack of exact fit just means the table is going to tare up before it should have. Dust, moisture, etc will get into the system. Maybe I'll buy a case, but now I'm looking at replacement

Exact replacement. Pretty painless to swap out.
The glass got cracked on my Digiland 1010Q tablet and found this for a replacement. This is the exact replacement part from what I could tell. Replacement took about an hour (first try) but it is pretty simple. Couldn't find any exact instructions for this model so here is my best shot:1: Remove the 2 small phillips screws on the side with the power and volume buttons.2: Pry off the back cover (you can see the seam between the buttons and the backside of the case) using a case removal tool or sturdy thin tool like a hobby knife, precision screwdriver, etc.3: Disconnect the digitizer ribbon cable from the board by lifting the thin black "clamp" bar up.4: Carefully pry up the old digitizer screen from the outside edge. You may have to remove the 4 silver screws w/washer holding the LCD to the frame in order to push the glass out from the inside to get started (I did). Carefully work your way around the entire edge, prying up a little at a time. This is the longest step and is worth taking your time. Be very careful not to damage the LCD screen. Don't worry about any glass fragments breaking off, you can clean them away once the glass screen is removed.5: Clean any dust/debris off and set the new digitizer in place. Thread the ribbon cable through the slot the old one came out of. I found it was easier to reconnect the ribbon cable before removing the adhesive tape backing. When connecting the ribbon cable, make sure it is pushed all the way in and push the black clamp back down. Remove the tape backing and align the screen appropriately (I found the dimensions are pretty much right on, so you can't really be off when sticking it back on). Press firmly around the edges of the tablet to seat the tape.6: Reinstall the silver screws if you took them out.7: Press the back case back on going all the way around again.8: Reinstall the two black screws on the power/volume button side9: Use a pin/needle to hit the reset button on the power/volume button side. The tablet will reset and the screen should now recognize touch input.
