Lenovo Ideapad 330 Intel Core I3 7th Gen 15.6-inch HD Laptop (4GB RAM/1TB HDD/DOS/Platinum Grey/2.2Kg/with DVD-RW) & B210 Bag Combo

I have purchased (reached me on 3rd May'2019) this laptop - I must admit - primarily because of the price (the value/cost ratio is quite high). Because I have used Lenovo earlier and have been happy, I have decided to go for one. I want to use to it for serious programming purposes and hence, increasing RAM is necessary. What this product's details page _does not say_ and Intel's factsheet for the same chipset _very clearly says_ is that the memory is indeed expandable to 16 GB. However, this product's 4GB RAM is soldered to its motherboard, and the single slot available could only take in 8 GB more, effectively making it 12 GB (max).I have tried to return it, but Amazon's policy doesn't allow me to do so. The retailer hasn't respond to my messages either. I have pointed out that the information given by the retailer (4 GB RAM) is _not incorrect_ but is incomplete_. If they were selling a Intel 6th Gen i3 chipset based laptop, they should have complied with Intel's description (or, clearly stated where the product differs). I have even offered to _purchase a higher-specification laptop from the same retailer_ (as an exchange), but there is no response to that from Amazon.This is the 3rd or 4th laptop that I have got for myself from Amazon, in addition to innumerable items I have purchased from them, over last several years. This is the first time, I am really disappointed. Their stand is technically and legally correct, but I still feel that I have been laid down. Now, I am stuck with this product and still to decide what to do with this.The packaging has been perfect and the delivery has been on the date as promised: no problems with that.

I have opted this as a replacement for my 7 year old Dell Inspiron 15. Features that were attractive - price indeed, screen size, i3 6006U processor, optical drive, dedicated LAN port, sleek design and the finishing (lid looks like metallic), & ample storage (1TB)The i3 processor has Intel HD Graphics 520 that could play videos upto Full HD. However, faced some lag in case of 4K videos.Boot-up time is short and quick.The 4GB RAM is sufficient (using Windows 10) for everyday tasks.The battery backup is decent - up to 5 hrs during moderate use.Keyboard layout and key-stroke is good. The keyboard layout includes the power button, which takes time to adapt to.The new vent design enables to use the laptop even on uneven surfaces like bed, lap etc.Few aspects that could have been better :- power indication LED and charge status LED are on the left side (should have been on the front for better visibility)- there are only 2 USB ports (3.0) (which is less for the no. of gadets we have)- charger pin design feels fragile.- the hard disk makes significant click noise at times- the HD display is not so great & takes times to adjust ( inferior even when compared to my age old Dell Inspiron 15).Hope this helps you in your decision making process!

After using it for 2+ years; this is what my review is -The Laptop is pretty decent for everyday usage, but the SATA drive in it doesn't help when you're running Windows 10 on a daily basis. It lags a little bit, but if you're used to a slight lag - this goes well. However, it's strongly recommended to replace the SATA drive with an SSD for a faster and smoother usage.The speakers are good, there's no noise or static with it. And the build quality of the laptop is great.The battery lasts for a really long time; I did face a problem with it a few days back when the battery was not detected - had to open the back cover, unplug and replug the battery cable to remove static electricity and it started working like before. The problem might have occurred since the grounding in the house isn't great.WiFi and Bluetooth both work great, there's been no problem with it so far!

Here is my detailed review.I purchased lenovo 330 (81DE00GFIN) in diwali sale. After all the discounts I got it for ₹23480/-.The comes with DOS. I had to install windows and other drivers. It comes with DVD-RW. The screen is NOT full HD, it is HD ready. The screen looks a little bit washed out, but then it is ok for the price range. The processor (intel i3 7th gen) is fast and works smooth. The laptop is light weight and is made up of plastic which looks a little delicate to me. Battery backup is around 3 hours and charging time is average. Overall this laptop is best in this price range.It would have been a cherry on the cake if it would have come with preinstalled windows and a full hd screen.

I purchase this Laptop on 3rd October with dos version. I purchase Windows Retail Key and Installed. But this Model laptop facing Touchpad problem. I installed ELAN Touchpad (Lenovo Drivers) but the Touchpad not working properly even the several times i installed the same drivers. Cause this problem i am not able to use laptop and I opted to Replacement, the seller accepted and Order Replacement as next day. Second I received the same Laptop this laptop is running very good.

I installed free linux operating systems ubuntu 18.04 LTS on this laptop. additional drivers not required. everything works graphics, wifi, bluetooth,etc. good entry level budget laptop. so saved some money on OS. linux is running smooth on this laptop. go ahead and install any latest linux distro. I recommend this laptop for linux users. i bought it during during republic day offer. i'm enjoying my freedom by installing linux.Lenovo ideapad 330-15IKBMachine Type Model: 81DC00TGIN4GB built in solderd RAM is not enough for me. So I am going to buy additional SODIMM RAM 8GB DDR4-2133 MHz.so max possible ram is 4+8=12GB only.do your own research.

So far laptop is nice but only issue is Mouse , when I am scroll down it's doesn't work. I am very pleased if they selling next time they must be put a CD driver for laptop. I am not happy with Packing. If anyone wanting buying a laptop make sure you have to buy window 10 separate that it's quite hard part to find . Screen is quite good and HD quality. Enough space for hard-disk.
