Master Lock 8218DPS Keyed Cable Lock, 6 foot, Black

Works perfect for what I bought it for, to lockdown my 2 spare off-roading tires so I don’t have to constantly take them on and off when I hit the dirt. I now don’t have to be worried about my tires unwantedly being taken off easily anymore. This at least will make someone really have to work to get them off.

When this lock arrived, i was in awe at how heavy duty it was but still fairly flexible. It wasn't overly heavy. The locking mechenism seems very strong and I don't think anyone could cut through this lock. I'm very happy with this purchase. It comes with 4 keys. If you're prone to losing keys, make sure you have a spare somewhere because you can't reorder keys. 4 keys is more than enough for me. The shipping did take a little longer than i had expected though, and it arrived after the estimated delivery date. Plus the tracking number was off and i couldn't track it.

Amazon was good enough to fully refund me.The lock is very easy to break. A thief would laugh his head off. The outer part of hard aluminum? Steel? that is hard brake even with a bolt cutter. But in the inside is flaw. It has this thin wire. I folded the chain to lock inside and you can see the thin wire. A thief could just do the same and use cheap wire cutters or bolt cutter,(which would be over kill), and break the lock instantly.I IMPLORE MASTER LOCK and AMAZON TO SEE THE FLAW in this unsafe stupidly designed lock. I think it is in all the "Chain Locks" cover in plastic. It could be good. But the Wire has to go. It's too thin. Than, it a wire that can be easily cut anyway. A Chain would be better. I know bike locks. And the surrounding plastic hides and covers NOTHING. The door is open on the "Master Lock 8218DPS Quantum 30 Armored Cable Lock". Work on the design it could be the a great lock, if you cared.Don't buy this lock. It's Junk. And MASTER LOCK. Don't make a lesser Lock and sell it cheaply. People will pay more if it's a good safe lock...................They gotta know it is worth their money.............Lofting out-

The Master Lock for my bike is what I really wanted and this one fits just right. The coating over it keeps the paint and chrome from touching bare metal like I see on some of the wheel to frame locking systems. I don't have anything bad to say about it, it's getting the job done. Thanks

Bought this to use on my scooter while it sits on the street at my house. It does a great job. Nice and sturdy and no problems with the lock.

We got these for our moped rentals here on the Big Island mopeds disappear fast. These locks are GREAT, they are heavy duty and very flexible compare to the ones we used before. Once it is coiled up, it nicely fits under the seat and not taking up a lot of room.

Only downfall is that you have to have the key in it in order for the end to go in fully and then lock it. Kind of need 3 hands. Other than that a very sturdy lock.
