Harder than you think.
I made the mistake of putting the scratch off stickers on a 3D valentines box. The box was pulverized simply from trying to press hard enough to scratch them to reveal the message.

It works, but is hard to scratch, I tried with a coin but even though It wasn't really easy. It is good for the price.
