NKJV Amplified Parallel Bible (Hardcover): Large Print Edition Hardcover – Large Print, October 1, 2008

The inspired word of God. Wow! I love this Bible because it has great size print and I love I've always wanted a parallel Bible that has two translations I prefer the new Kings James version and the amplified version side by side It is a great way to learn more in scripture.

I purchased this bible for my hubby for Christmas.He loves his new bible while teaching.It is easy to read and understand the other translations when focusing on a verse passage.I had to get a hardcover so that it can last longer rather than a soft back.

The comparison, but mainly stay with the amplifier this visible is amazing

I normally wait before reviewing but this i can review out of the box. Wonderful! Love having my favorite interpretations side-by-side. The large print guarantees hours of reading without the eyestrain I've been experiencing after 30 minutes. Lost my Bible during a very tumulchuous time and really didn't have time for it's loss to register so I started using the Internet and various apps to continue learning. When I open a the box, removed the plastic and held it, my eyes filled with tears, my heart filled with joy and a huge sense of relief encompasses my whole being. Thank you. I know I'll enjoy it.

I was looking for a parallel bible to try to get better grasp of some passages that are not always clear to me. I love the fact that NASB has long been recognized as the most accurate word for word translation, and so that was critical to find a nice complimentary translation that could expound on some words or passages. The Amplified Bible has been a really helpful translation to have next to the NASB. That being said, I also think the font size is perfectly readable. I do wear reading glasses and under some lights small text can be an eye strain, but the font and the paper used in this bible by Hendrickson Publishers is not bad at all for me. Granted, indoors I sit by a good light to read it, but it is very readable for me. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it is a hard cover bible, that is a little stiff to use. Is that a big deal? Not really, but when sitting in a big comfortable chair with the bible on my knee, or laying the book on a table top, the stiffness is less comfortable to use than a soft cover. But that is just as it is. This bible is very nice and I like it very much for my own study purposes.

Bible reading using this combination of translations is very enjoyable for the person who is familiar with KJV.
