Tall people, this is for you!
I recently noticed that my partner, who is 6’2”, had started sitting down on the floor of the shower when washing his hair. I asked him why, and he said it was because it was hurting his back to bend over to do it, but he didn’t want to have to pay a plumber to rehang the shower head higher on the wall, retile, etc. I was like, “This seems like a fixable problem.” Sure enough, a quick Amazon search revealed this bit of pipe, which took all of about 15 minutes to install, and works perfectly. If you’re tall, there’s no need to suffer through squatting in the shower! Get this thing. You’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!

Tall people rejoice!
Tall people rejoice! This LDR Industries 520 2419CP High Rise Shower Arm and Flange makes showering so much easier.I am fairly tall for a woman and my teen son is 6'3". At our beach cottage, the shower arm is located pretty low even for me and my son had to bend wat the waist to wash his hair. I did install a hand held shower head but it's hard to wash your hair with only one hand - especially if it is waist length. One day, I saw this on Amazon and was stunned. How was I not aware of these before??It's a chrome plated pipe with threads on either end and it took about 3 minutes to install. (You will need some plumber's tape.) Wow! What a difference! My son is thrilled and I like it better, too. It even comes with a chrome flange to cover the hole nicely.I wish it came in a brushed nickel finish to match the rest of my bathroom hardware but hey, I am not complaining. If there are tall people in your house, get one. They will love you for it.

Genius!
Absolutely the cleverest, best, neatest little gadget I have seen in some time. We live in a renovated pre-war row house, which I generally love, but let's be honest, old buildings have quirks. A major quirk of this one is the height of the shower fixtures. Not sure if it's an original to the building problem, or a klutzy mistake made in the reno, but the 5'9" water stream gave my 6' tall husband fits. Purchased this and had it installed by my regular handyman. Problem solved!! It's a nice heavy gauge, which makes it seem durable. And it looks fantastic, very period-appropriate, as well as very spa-like. Paired it with the Speakman S2252 anystream in polished chrome, also purchased from Amazon, and it's like a total bathroom remodel for less than $100. Genius! Did I say genius? Can I say it again? Genius!

If you are over 6-inches taller than your showerhead, this is for you!
This is great if your shower pipe connection is low and you are over a foot taller than the connection, It allows me to get totally under the showerhead when I am washing my hair without having to bend way over. The shower connection in the tub this is installed is 4'-6" (54")or so above the bottom of the tub. I am 5'-10" (70"). It replaced a shower arm extension with two joints (sort of like item Amazon B014TVQYAU) I bought from Amazon years ago that I tried to move from a bathroom where we were having a new tub installed to the other bathroom. The move didn't work because one of the joints started to to leak and could not be completely stopped. Then I found this item when I was looking for a replacement for the leaking extension. This product is worth every penny! It is raised the showerhead higher than the old extension did, cannot leak since it has no joints and can support an over the shower pipe shower caddy most excellently. I I found out the the current Plumbing Code requires the connection for the showerhead piping to be 74" (6'-2") above the floor of the bathroom so I don't need any extension in the new tub.

The perfect solution AND easy to install.
Super easy to install and really made a difference in our corner shower. Both My husband and I are 6 feet tall and this was a cheap easy fix to really change the shower experience! I haven’t had it for a long time so I’m not sure how long/durable it will be over time but definitely was an easy install and exactly what I was looking for instead of busting the wall to heighten the showerhead.

Excellent
Perfect solution to my need, super annoying when the water pipe comes out at eye level (and i am only 5'11). This thing takes my shower head about a quarter inch away from the light in my shower - PERFECT. Note that my shower is a basement shower, and its a little smaller on all dimensions, most people probably won't have theirs so close to the ceiling/light/fan. Simple to install, looks great, make sure you use some anti-leak white water pipe tape, good to go. I have bought two of these and used them at two different homes now highly recommend if your shower head is too low.

Just what I wanted
I'm a slightly taller than average man (6'1") and really despise having to duck under standard height showers. This extension solves that issue beautifully. It puts the shower head well above my head. The only complaint that some will have is that the shower head will almost certainly be above the curtain. This doesn't cause any splashing concerns but, if you have a small, high-velocity shower head, it does cause an odd air movement that tends to suck the bottom of the shower curtain against your legs. The remedy is, oddly, to get a larger shower head (or leave a small gap between the back wall and curtain for the air). Larger "rain" type shower heads are heavenly anyway and the slower moving but better covering water eliminates this odd quirk of physics cause by the jet being above the curtain.

Looks elegant
By far the easiest way to deal with overly-low shower head placement. I am 6’4” and it would seem most plumbers are not. I find myself scooching down to get under most showerheads. This solution solves that without breaking into tile or drywall or existing plumbing. A little PTFE tape and screw it in and done. Good quality finish and looks great when finished.
