This does the job!!! In my side-by-side is a photo of a brush covered in blush. I brushed it against the sponge for less than. Three seconds (I counted) and it was all gone!!!No longer do I have to keep two crease brushes and five packer brushes out on my vanity!! I can just knock off the eyeshadow in between shades! It does it's job so much better than I thought.Another note is that it's not like all the powder builds up in the sponge over time. It somehow sifts down to the tray. The photo I took is my accumulation over 4 days. I got this product over similar ones because, for the same price, I also got an extra sponge. Looking at it now, though, I'm not sure how likely it is that I'll be needing the sponge soon. I purchased to see the difference between the one in Sephora and this. There was no difference other than its container. It did its job. Took off my color so I can use the same brush for a different color. I ended up returning the one from Sephora to use this one since it is cheaper.

All the other charcoal sponges for sale on Amazon come in a round tin and have a much smaller surface area and yet more expensive! I love the increased size of this sponge especially for using my biggest oval face brush. Some people use a microfibre cloth but the sponge is more sanitary. The plastic case is also nice and after washing out the sponge from time to time you don't have to worry about moisture rusting the container. Makeup powder that gets cleaned off slowly settles to the bottom of the sponge in the case. I am an Ipsy subscriber. They recently had a "daily deal" on the Vera Mona version of this and I almost bought it. However, I'm a thrifty girl and decided to look around before jumping the gun. I'm so glad I did!I found this little brush cleaner and I decided to give it a shot. Well, I was not disappointed. This thing is amazing. It really does get all the powder off your brush in just a couple swipes. It makes it SO much easier to apply your makeup with one brush. I used to use a paper towel to swipe off my eye shadows between colors, and it kinda worked. This works soooo much better. And it's super easy to clean. Pull the stipple sponge out, rinse it off, let dry and put back in it's little tin. I can see this lasting a good long time. The tin is small (about the size of an altoids tin) and has nothing on it. No logo, picture, etc. Which I personally like. That means I can whip out my sharpies and create my own design on it. :)Worth every penny I spent on this. I absolutely love it. Will recommend!

One of my favorite Amazon items that I purchase over and over. Can't really say how many I've bought over the years. There's no reason to go spend $30 on the brand name version of this (that comes with only one pad) when you can two for less than a third of the cost. I keep one in my bathroom, one on a travel bag, one in my makeup bag, and extras for gifts. I wouldn't suggest washing them, as they don't exactly turn out the same and do the job they should. Every so often I lift out of the charcoal pad and empty out the loose shadow that's built up and fallen into the tin, then take a dry cloth to the pad on each side and just dab a few times and it seems to give it some new life. But at the cost I'm really not trying to stretch the life by anything crazy. Just something I noticed that helps keep it clean. Definitely helps saves my brushes I spend way too much money on 😊
