Easy to install and work perfectly
First off, the installation process was a breeze. It took just a few minutes to snap everything into place, and the case fits my Raspberry Pi perfectly. The design is well thought out, with access to all the necessary ports and even space for a heatsink or fan that comes with it. The case feels sturdy and well-made, offering excellent protection for my Pi while still being lightweight. Value for money.

Very quiet and effective fan after a month; solid case, good video cables and customer service!
This is a review for the Smraza Raspberry 4 Case Kit with case, microHDMI to HDMI cable, microHDMI to (female) HDMI adapter cable*, and power supply with on/off button. The case is easy to assemble - each layer on its own seems small, but when put together they're fine. Note that if any clear layer appears frosted, you haven't actually pulled the protective film off - the actual layers are alternating crystal clear and opaque black, with top and bottom being crystal clear. The rubber feet are quite tall, which gives the bottom good airflow if it's set on a reasonably flat surface. The power supply works fine - no undercurrent issues that Raspbian noticed. Most importantly to me, I've left it running for a little over a month, and it kept the Pi4 in good condition the entire time. The fan in 3.3V mode (read the instruction card - there's two different pin pairs on the Pi4 to choose from) started off extremely quiet, and a month later is still extremely quiet. It's barely audible at less than an arm's length away in a quiet room. Farther than that, or closer but with any kind of background noise (for instance, from a video or movie or game or whatnot), it's inaudible, which is precisely what I needed. The fan also starts up immediately in 3.3V mode. The cables for the fan stay tucked inside the top cover of the case pretty easily - just make sure to plug the fan cables in before putting the top cover on and it's very easy. All in all, an entirely satisfactory Pi4 case for general use, even as a home theatre setup with the fan running in 3.3V mode - which is more than enough to handle video. The kit I recieved did come with one extra of the smallest heatsinks, which was good as one of them had a tiny piece of something on the thermal tape; thus, like many 'some assembly required' pieces of furniture, the spare you'll need is already included in the box!* I, like some other early customers, originally received a one-piece male microHDMI to female HDMI adapter which was impossible to safely use for dual display due to how wide it got (HDMI width) so close to the case. A simple email to smraza resulted in them offering a variety of options, of which I chose to receive the longer (about 6" overall, as it turns out) adapter cable that they're including in newer kits at no charge. The cable arrived sooner than expected, and worked perfectly - it's more than long enough for easy, comfortable dual displays with plenty of clearance between the power cable and both microHDMI ends of the video cables.

Great case and accessories for Raspberry Pi 4
Great case and assortment for Raspberry Pi 4. Fan is running on the lower power mode and is extremely silent and when I checked the temps they were in the 30's to 40's Celsius vs my RPi 3 on passive cooling in the 50's to 70's. The top plate pin access makes it easy to switch the pins to the higher powered fan mode easily or add additional components. I went with the option with all the extra accessories but it came with the silver heatsinks. I also bought a basic RPi 4 with black anodized heatsinks. This is where I say follow the instructions. It worked out for me cause I went through steps 1 through 5 on initial case assembly. Step 6 is where you place the heat sinks after step 5 where you place one of the layers that has internal covers. The black heats sinks worked great for all the chips except the smaller ethernet controller because it was near the edge of the case cutout and the black heatsink was larger than the chip. It would fit in the hole but it would also come into contact with several surface mounted components. If I had placed the heatsinks first then I would not be able to install that layer of the case without cuts. I instead used the smaller silver heatsink that was included with the case and it was the perfect size and fit for that particular component. For all the the accessories/flexibility and a well made/good looking case this is a very good buy.

Clever, but fussy to assemble
Clever? Perhaps. Contemporary design? Eye of the beholder. Fussy to assemble? You betcha.Aside from its fussiness, This Pi case has several shortcomings, by my reckoning. If assembled by the instructions, the blade of the fan on top is exposed to curious fingers, pencils, paper clips, etc. Not that injury might result, but a grillwork does seem appropriate, none-the-less. Actually, If the fan were assembled properly, that is as an exhaust fan (because hot air rises), the blades will be located underneath, out of harm's way.The case does provide access to the GPIO and other headers, convenient for experimenters. The acrylic covers give a view to the interior, helpful for the curious. I suggest that inserting the bolts in the bottom layer when assembling will facilitate adding the subsequent layers. After the top layer has ben installed, the nuts could be installed on top, giving the case a more "industrial" look (see picture). Should that look not appeal, the bolts could be inverted one at a time and the nuts installed on the bottom. The design for temperature management is a minor triumph of form over function. Why does the look of it remind me of King Tut?

Love this case!
Not sure why some are complaining about the assembly. I found it to be very easy and fun to put together and only took a few minutes. The end product is awesome! It seems very thoughtfully designed with lots of airflow. Once assembled, it’s very sturdy. I like the switch on the power cord and it ended up being at a perfect spot on the cord for my setup. If I had to nitpick, the only annoying thing is the wires for the fan are much longer than they need to be, so I had to tuck them away with some difficulty. But that was more of an aesthetic annoyance.Overall this is an awesome product for the price and I’m happy I looked around for so long before I chose this one.

Sturdy case, quiet fan, good instructions
I am quite pleased with this case. Slightly tedious to assemble due to the 7-layer design, but it cools well (even on low setting), is quiet, gives good access to all ports and protects the Pi. Came with clear instructions that made assembly easy. The power supply looks cheap but works fine and seems to have enough power for my Pi 4 with USB hard drive.

Ideal case for the RPi 4B
The case was easy to assemble. I took care when disassembling to stack the parts in the correct order. The heatsinks were easy to apply and everything fitted pefectly. I am running the fan on slow speed (3.3V). I have two monitors plugged in.The 4B runs at least 20° cooler (39 - 42°C vs 61 to 65°C with no case). I can hear the fan only by putting my ear very close. I tried both the HDMI adapter cable and the long HDMI cable; both worked fine. There was no problem inserting the SD card or the monitor and power plugs. USB and ethernet ports and the 40-pin GP connector are fully accessible. I like the power switch. I also appreciate that there was an extra nut and bolt included - just in case I lost one!The case is attractive, the Pi is well protected and cooled. I recommend it to anyone buying a Pi 4B. It is well worth the cost.

Everything you need for your Pi. Good price.
This is the third Smraza case I have purchased, very quick to assemble and comes with everything needed to power and run the Pi.My primary reason for choosing this case is because it is a complete kit. On one of my older units the fan packed in, bought a replace unit for a few quid and everything up and running again.Good value for money and the components are of a good quality.

Nice case - fits perfectly
This is the second smraza case kit that I buy - this one for a Raspberry PI 4.It was fun assembling it with a little bit of challenge. This made the assembly even more fun.Overall, my raspberry pi 4 fits well, assembly instructions were ok, the included fan is doing a good job and is silent as well.
