novice opinion with eyeballed data.
Background:My information: 2007 Lund 1700 fish and ski.Power by: 2007 Mercury 115 hp OPTi max.The boat weighs 1200 pounds. Motor weighs close to 400. I would say my test took place with 600-700 lb of weight including myself.Total boat weight. About 2,300 lbs in total during test.I expect my total weight when pulling skiers to be about 2,800 lbs. Mercury's webpage recommended this spitfire prop if my boat total weight was at least 2800 lbs. testing the boat at the proper weight may yield different results. Purpose of me buying this prop: To pull up heavy skiers. I have not tried to pull skiers yet. (I will share my experiences so far anyways) (I will admit my source of recording time was a video that could not do fractions of seconds.)3 blade prop:Previously, I had a black mercury 3 blade prop 19 inch pitch. Not sure of diameter. I could not make the diameter out on the prop. Time to plan was over 5 seconds. Most likely 5.5. My average top speed was about 44 mph. My speedometer is a bit off. It was more like 42 mph. Sidenote: The boat had to be going about 20 mph to stay on plane.Spitfire 4 blade prop:With spitfire 15 inch pitch: time to plane was under 4 seconds. Most likely 3.5. I am not sure of my TopSpeed because I kept hearing a buzzing sound which I think was my RPM rev limiter. The engine seemed a bit louder but content to run about 35 mph without hearing what I believe to be the RPM Rev limiter buzzing. Rpm at 35 mph were around 5700, which is at the upper limit for this motor. Side note: The boat seemed to be mostly out of the water cruising at 11 mph and it was on plane at 13-15 mph.Personal feelings:The four blade felt significantly faster to plane. I was able to make sharp turns that I didn't know were possible with my 3 blade prop.I think I will eventually buy a 19 pitch spitfire which I think will give me better overall performance. My plan is to keep the 15 pitch for water sports and as a back up on the boat, and I will use the 19 pitch spitfire for everything else. Those are my thoughts.

Awesome prop!!
Incredible performance improvement. Went from 3 blade Yamaha 17 pitch to this 4 blade 15 pitch. Pulls way better out of the hole, planes quicker and stays on plane at lower speeds, and feels way more responsive at all speeds. Only lost maybe 1 or 2 MPH top speed on 22 foot NR with Yamaha 115 which is well worth it. Can turn way sharper before cavitation too.

Durable, much less expensive than Stainless
I use mine in brackish and salt water with no issues. 75 HP Mercury OB motor plus this prop, gets my boat on plane quickly. I can Cruse on plane at about 18-20mph.

Awesome prop! Highly recommend for holeshot, acceleration, and skiing when attached to a 90hp Deep V
I have a 2010 Bass Pro Tracker 17ft deep V with a 90hp four stroke Mercury. Switched to this prop from a 13x19 three blade Mercury aluminum to help on the holeshot, acceleration, and handling while three fishermen are on board. The boat jumps out of the water in seconds and handles like it has 30+ more HP. Only negative is the top end was reduced as expected from 41-38 mph, which really isn't an issue as the loaded with fisherman, fish, gear, livewell, you wouldn't see the top speed anyway.

I installed this on a 18' Star Craft Superfisherman
I was having problems getting my boat to plane properly with 3 or more people in it. When I purchased the boat it came with a 19 pitch 3 blade black max prop on a 90hp mercury 4 stroke. I decided to give the Mercury Spitfire prop a try after the mercury prop selector tool on their website recommended it. I went with a 15 pitch mercury Spitfire prop. IT SOLVED ALL MY PROBLEMS!!! Now the boat accelerates much faster, it planes perfectly ( I've had up to 6 people in the boat and it still planes), and the best part overall is I didn't lose any top end speed! This was a big relief to me. I was starting to think there was something wrong with my motor. But it turns out my prop was just over pitched for the boat.

Should have bought this earlier!
Bought this prop for my 115 optimax on a 19 foot deckboat that weighs 2100#. I went from 3 blade 16 pitch to this 4 blade 15 pitch. Lost 1 mph top end but the benefits outweigh that! Boat jumps up on plane now and corners way better pulling tubes. My boys noticed the power right away on the tubes ( they're both 6'6" and 230#) and liked the up and on top of the water. Motor gained 200 RPM top end to 5500 and sounds better as if it's not laboring or working as hard. Wished I'd have bought this earlier. Now I see Amazon lowered the price. Now I'm really kicking myself for not buying this earlier.

Great update for my pontoon boat!
Swapped this onto my new (to me) pontoon boat and it gave me much better hole shot and quicker planing. I would definitely recommend.
