Improper sizing, abrasive heel cups
These don't just run small. They're not the size they say they are. There are definitions and standards for shoe sizes. I ordered a US 11.5M. The length is fine, but these are definitely *narrow* shoes. There's a band over the arch, about where the last lace is, that will squash regular size 11.5M feet mercilessly. Totally precludes using any insole thicker than the paper-thin one that comes with it.Even worse, these have a *very* rigid heel cup with barely any padding. If your foot doesn't fit perfectly (which is highly likely in light of the sizing issue) these will rub *a lot*. Out of many brands/models of shoes I've used in 4000+ miles of running, these are the only ones that have caused blisters - a nice dime-sized one on the inside of my left heel, after only five miles. To put it simply: these aren't good running shoes. Asics has many other fine shoes. I ran in GT-2000s and GT-3000s for years, and was also very happy with Nimbus. This shoe, however, was a mistake.

Horrible Hard Plastic in the Back
This shoe is almost everything that you want in a running shoe. The toes are wide, the sole is cushioned well, they are impeccably light. However, there is a piece of hard plastic in the back of the shoe that consistently erodes the heel. I've had these shoes for a few months now, I have probably ran 50 to 60 miles in them, thinking that they just needed to be broken in. I've bent the back trying to reshape the plastic piece, but no matter what I do, these shoes continue to rub and blister my heels to the point of bleeding even with high, thick socks and a bandaid on. Would not recommend to any one who values having unblistered feet.

Balanced Cushion & Spring
I'd say the fit is true. I wear a US 13 in most running shoe brands--one size up from street shoe size. First run was uncomfortable. I lace my running shoes very tight. In this shoe, this tight lacing caused pain in the top of foot, just under where the laces are finally tied. I walked around in them a bit and gave them a second try. I still pulled the laces tightly from toe to forefoot but used less pressure when tying off. All went well. The shoes provide a good balance of cushion and spring. The shoe is versatile. Light enough for speed runs but also cushioned for longer runs. Low profile, well-made and stylish enough to make me smile. Even at the normal, full price of $99, these are worth having in any runner’s shoe rotation. Also a great option for those only needing one pair of runners.

Very nice comfort/performance balance
Decent semi firm cushioned trainer balance/fit. I've indicated its a 'tad gracious' in width. (I'm slightly narrow as is).To the heel cup deal, I've had brook launch etc, that had the stiff plastic/cardboard -digging- back heel cup, and on feel of this one, I thought that could've been the case, but turns it wasn't at the same point. The pressure was present on first day, but it's bad enough to not want to own a second pair with the semi-firm platform, they're actually flat out firm imo after quick break in/coming from other more gracious shoes.Have done a 5-10 miles test throughout a few days and this is not the case for me at least.I use an extra sole in one shoe and this is where that digging has occurred, but in neither is it for me.Maybe my back-heel exaggerated sharply enough who knows but that issue can really mess up your foot.If you're thinking of trying these liking the looks and wouldn't mind a mostly semi-firm cushioned shoe and its on sale it could be worth a try, that heel is a little stiff but the whole shoe is.

Decent shoe with a fatal flaw
The shoe itself looks decent, fits as expected, and has felt supportive in the few runs I've taken it on (just a mile or to each run). I will echo other comments that there is a very uncomfortable plastic piece in the heel, which can feel like it's digging in. Loosening the laces a bit has mitigated the issue, but it's definitely an issue I can't overlook. I would not recommend this shoe to a friend.

Even though the featured item says womans.. they are sent as mens.
Upon ordering, screen shot every page during ordering, which ensures I had purchased the CORRECT ideams supposedly. However after purchasing the confirmation email was send stating I purchased shoe as MENS , when durning the complete ordering process stated I was purchasing WOMANS . When shoes arrived indeed they were Mens. This discouraged me from reordering, because like to womans verson of this product was the exact same URL page as wrong purchase.I had to send them back, with taking another chance of purchasing "wrong size " product as before.

VERY USEFULL AS A DISTANCE TRAINER
VERY GOOD HEEL AND FORE FOOT SUPPORT FOR LONG RUNS. SUPER COMFORTABLE SOCK LIKE FIT AND EXCELLENT TRACTION ON THE ROAD. WEIGHING IN AT 9.6 OUNCES I WOULDN'T USE FOR A SERIOUS RACE, I WOULD PREFER 8 OUNCES OR LESS.

great shoe
This was designed as a nice general athletic shoe. The negative reviews on this shoe appear to be serious long-distance runners needing features specific for them. The support is noticeably comfortable. Solid build and is going to last me a long time. There is no plastic strap that might cause issues mentioned in other reviews. I use these for gym workouts, periodic runs, biking, and walks. Not a long-distance runner. You'll be proud to slip these on to wear in public too.

Great comfort.
Great running shoe. Used on and off road (on firmer surfaces) and no problems. They fit like a glove and you can feel the cushioning and spring back that they give as you run.

I'd buy them again
A little narrower than most of my past Asics but still comfortable. Good cushioning.

Light and comfortable.
Great fit, I am normally a 10-10 1/2 l went for the 10 1/2. Fantastic comfortable running trainer, very light. If you have a wide foot, these are the ones for you.
