Grimm, Grime, and Curses
Wilhelmina Grimm (publicly known as Mina Grime), is the great-great-lots more greats granddaughter of Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm, better known as the brother's Grimm. Generally known, the brother's were great fairy-tale writers that traveled the world and wrote incredible stories. Less well-known is the fact that they didn't actually write these stories, they were a part of them. Each story being a quest that they completed for the fae (fairies) and the ruling King and Queen of the fae, known as the Fates. Wilhelm and Jacob made a deal with the fae to stop the evil fae from coming to the human plane and feasting on innocent humans. The Fates agreed, so long as Wilhelm and Jacob could complete all of the fairy tale story quests. The brothers agreed to the terms, unaware that if they failed to finish all of the quests then the agreement would fall to their children. Now, generations later, Mina has been bestowed the family "curse" to complete the fairy tale quests that the brother's originally agreed to. Another unfortunate side-effect of the deal that the Fates didn't exactly explain was that whenever one of the Grimms died, all of the quests started over. All of the quests had to be completed and fulfilled by one individual.Generations of Grimms have fought against the fae, trying to overcome the story, complete the tales, and ride the human world (and their family) of the fae curse. Mina, sheltered and unaware of the family curse due to her mother's constant vigilance, moving, and even going as far as changing their family name and cutting ties with all known relations, has now stumbled into her family curse. The storybook fairy tales and the family curse have finally caught up with her and her family and Mina realizes if her family is ever going to be free or able to live their lives (and further more if she wants to protect her 8 year-old mute brother from inheriting the curse in her place) she has to fulfill the family curse and somehow beat what not other Grimm has been able to before. After learning that everything in her life that she has hated and loathed and wished wasn't the way it was, is all her own fault because of her time-traveling trip that was an effort to set things right with the Grimm family but was in fact the catalyst for her family curse, Prince Teague's loathing and hate for her, the evil that is poisoning his heart, the power that is fueling his vengeance, and the creation of the two storybooks, Mina is at an all time low. She's finally admitted to herself that she still loves Jared, who is a part of Prince Teague, the fairy prince set on killing her and destroying everything she holds dear-also she hates to admit is because of what she did to him in her time-traveling and he's been searching for her for hundreds of years (talk about not getting over things). Left with all of the responsibility of the Grimm curse that she began and as her world is on the verge of the onslaught of Teague's anger she realizes that it isn't just her world that might be destroyed by her decisions as the fae plane is also suffering, dying, and being destroyed. If she doesn't do something and act correctly it could mean the end for much more than just her life or her 8 year old brother Charlie. Desperate and unsure of how she's supposed to face Teague and his power alone, she does something she never thought she could do before and plans for all worst-case scenarios. Broken still from the loss of Jared and even more so as the causalities continue and she loses more of her loved one, Mina makes up her mind that she has to do something to stop what is happening regardless of what it means will happen to her. Will she live another day? She doesn't really know, but she can't sit by and watch or do things that put anyone else she cares about in danger. Will her brother be able to avoid Teague or the family curse? Will her friends survive much longer if she doesn't give Teague what he wants? She doubts her luck or their more and more. Admitting to herself that she loves Teague, even as he continues to hunt and torture her in his own way, she knows that it will all come down to what she has always known it would have to come down to. She will either have to kill him or die at his hands.Good book recommend for females, teenage age, high school level. Deals with subjects of magic, fantasy, fitting in, communication, and understanding others differences.

Loved it
Forever was amazing! Of course I'm sad that the adventure has come to an end but the journey was great this series has made me laugh and cry. I believe that Chanda Hahn is a great author she makes you feel for the characters which reels you into the story and of course she must have a great imagination I wouldn't have thought up anything remotely close to this! The twist about Mina's mom was great I didn't even expect it but I won't spoil it or the shocking revelations about Mina and Charlie's heritage.

A bitter-sweet end to the series
Totally loved this book from start to finish! It was great seeing Mina discover her true self in the end and accepting others for who they were as well. I think the ending was a great way to bring the series into full circle, giving all of Mina's suffering a great overall purpose. While I didn't enjoy reading about the demise of one San Francisco's greatest treasures, I did enjoy that the author made it the epicenter of the activity, the battle between good and evil. Great read!! Hope it turns into a movie soon!!!

great ending that I think readers will be satisfied with!
Wow. Just wow.Let me start by saying this. It is the only series where I have read the first (free) e-book and then turned around and bought every other book in the series. From the moment I read the first page of the first book, I was set. What I liked about this book in the series was that from the beginning it prepared you for the end of the series. Everything felt very climaxy (totally not a word). The stakes were high, the battles were boss and the emotions were heightened. The only thing I didn't like about this book (it pains me to even type those words) was that a part at the end with Teague was kind of skimmed over. The reaper thing was not as highlighted as I think it should have been so I had to re-read that page to make sure what was going on. I think the whole "challenge the death reaper and take his place" should have been explained more and more emotion put in.However, somehow, Chanda Hahn found a way to end this series with a slam dunk of endings. I was worried for a second. By I'm very satisfied with the ending and I think it did Mina and all the other loved (and unloved) characters justice so kudos!By the way I did cry three times during this book. I cried more than I did when I watched "A Walk to Remember" !!!!!!!

That ending was just not OK
First let me say that I truly enjoyed the first 4 books of this series. Don't get me wrong, the writing isn't going to win any prizes, but the story and characters are so engaging that I devoured the books. Then I got to book 5. The entire second half of this book was a scattered disappoinment. I invested enough in the main characters to feel like they deserved an ending that respected their personal growth and this ending did not. I gave the book three stars because I liked it until about the middle when it fell apart for me and that first half deserves some recognition.

What an ending!
Wow! This book has it all, battle scenes, a wedding, a funeral, a prison, and more battle scenes...not all in that order. Mina has to fight Teague and learn to use her powers as she learns the truth about herself. A death reaper is after her and how will she escape? Wow, I feel like I read through a whirlwind of action. Chanda really tied up all the characters in this book, giving a really great ending to all that will make you sigh at the end. I think you will enjoy this book.

A great end to a great series
I think I may cry now that this series is finished. I think I love this book the most as everything comes together in my opinion. I want to read more lolFull of action and I love some of the humor. Minas full powers and true self definitely come into play and will she get her happily ever after with Jared/Teague???? I'll let you read it to find out as I'm not spoiling anything lol

The long wait was worth it
Read and wrapped up in 2 days which would have been 1 if I hadn't been busy!!I'm trilled, saddened but excited for the future after Forever. I won't give spoilers as it's the last in the Series (which is why i'm sad) and you need the surprises to make it as epic for you as it was for me.Now Teague is whole he's hell bent on punishing Mina now that she knows the role she played in his demise. Those she loves can be used against her and he's not above underhanded games to get to her.Mina is struggling to protect her loved ones and is warring with her true feelings for Teague knowing what she may have to do. Will everyone get a happily ever after but her?The new characters introduced from Mina's familial revelation were exciting and a new fun twist of all the creatures in Faery.Loved how much page time her and Teague had as I loved him even when he was ruthless, he was just so enigmatic and I wanted more.So sad their story is ending BUT there will be more!!!

Favourite book in the series!!
Definitely my favourite book in the series!! I loved the epilogue so much but I couldn't get my head around Teague and Jared both staying alive in Taz's power so I wish Chanda had explained it better but maybe I had just read it too quickly because I was to excited to find out what was going to happen next!! I wouldn't mind if there was another book or not because I'm very happy with this ending and leaving it as that!! I really recommend this to people who love fantasy-romance....

Brilliant series could not stop reading from book 1 to book 5.
Really enjoyable reading. Loved the characters. A great twist on the grimm fairy tales and their legend, almost could believe it was true, especially Bermuda triangle that would make lots of sense.
