Stay Away From
Lets see, first off the wireless is a total pain to get going to begin with and even when you do finally get it connected with your account, it just decides to disconnect after a day. You go through it again for the same result a day later. The wireless charging....that's another animal that doesn't like to work correctly. First, to anyone with a Samsung galaxy 9 or note 10, you have to turn on the developer's tools which will let you turn off the fast wireless charging option just to get it to work. If not it chargers for 10 secs then red starts blinking which means it can not pick charge needed. Yea pretty bad. So people, this is a bright white bed light......that's it. The rest is just a headache.

Nice light with one major flaw (also I got a broken one)
The desk lamp that I've used for over 10 years finally blew its halogen bulb and rather than purchase a replacement, I figured I would look into LED desk lights. This is one of two desk lights I purchased to replace my old halogen, but both ended up being returned due to defects. Going back to my halogen...First off, this light looked very sleek when I first put it together. Assembly was a single screw to connect the arm to the base. The controls responded great. However, after powering it up the first time, the LEDs started to flicker. Depending on how I touched the arm, the LEDs would either go really low (indicating a significant voltage drop) or up to proper brightness. After a minute, the lights would flicker again. I believe there was something wrong with the spring loaded contacts (which are used to supply current from the base up to the LEDs in the arm) on my lamp which is why if I held the arm in a specific position it worked fine, but after letting it go, the circuit would destabilize and the light would stop functioning correctly. I tried tightening the screw and re-installing the arm, but I couldn't get it to respond properly 100% of the time so I returned it.As far as flaws go, there were two. The first is minor in that the Qi charger wouldn't work with my iPhone using a thin Spigen case. My phone wirelessly charges on my bed charger with the case just fine. If I took the case off, the lamp would charge my phone, so this is most likely due to a weaker coil installed in the base of the lamp. As annoying as this is, it wouldn't have been a deal breaker as using the charger did reduce the brightness of the light (this is mentioned in the instructions) so I wasn't planning to use it extensively. The second flaw, which I consider major, is the lack of arm mobility. While the top of the lamp does pivot, the arm itself is locked in a 90 degree angle to the base. This means that the light it projects is centered on the phone charger. While you can pivot the lamp up a little to focus the light in front of the base, you still need to move the entire base in order to light your work area. While this might be obvious in the pictures on the listing, I wasn't thinking about it when I first ordered the lamp. If being able to move the focus of the light within your workspace is important, then this isn't the lamp for you.I was probably unlucky enough to get a lemon, but I would have probably returned it anyway due to the lack of arm mobility. When the light worked, the LEDs were bright with proper color options. As long as I held the arm, the LEDs didn't flicker either. Overall I was disappointed in the functionality of the lamp given the high price tag.

Terrible Instructions & Mediocre Lamp
First, I want to point out that I've installed over 35 smart home devices including garage door openers, front door locks, outlets, light switches and cameras. This is not my first rodeo. Having said that, the instructions for this are inaccurate, poorly written and missing steps. No matter how many times I tried to add a "lighting" device to the Smart Life app (as the written instructed dictated), it wouldn't recognize the lamp. I wrote the company and they responded by emailing me a link to a video that went over the same instructions that didn't work in writing (WTH?). Finally, by experimentation with every device category in the app, I was able to get it to recognize the lamp by choosing the “Gateway and others” category then "Others (WiFi)." Not exactly logical since there's a whole other category for lamps and lighting. So after wasting 75 minutes, that part worked. However, the light is dim unless you choose to set the color mode on yellow (which is ugly), and about 60 seconds after I set my phone on the wireless charger part of the lamp, it will randomly turn the lamp off (not always, but sometimes). The only positive thing I can say about it is the Smart Life app has an excellent Alexa skill that works quite well. Otherwise, if you're looking for a "smart" lamp, my advice is to keep looking.

These suck. They forget their WiFi connection, flicker and maybe it will charge your phone
I returned the first one in case it was just a lemon. Nope, the screw for the mast doesn't keep it tight and causes flickering. I cranked it down and it was slightly better but I was worried about snapping it.The IoT portion is miserable at best. I have IoT devices I've put together using inexpensive chips and the basic software for those manages to remember it WiFi connection, so I can't imagine how something this basic was missed on the way to production.Charger sort of, kinda, mostly works... maybe. My phone would charge slowly if it sat in just the right spot. My girlfriends phone, which she keeps in a snap fit drop case, wouldn't charge at all.Second one is going back as well. Really disappointing as it looked nice, but it really is a piece of debris. Buy something else.

Minimalist Looking Light with Interesting Design Feactures
This is a very interesting design. The stem part of the lamp as well as the bulb part are on two aluminum pies that fold together. There is an electrical outlet in the sturdy wooden base of the lamp. You can remove this aluminum two piece and have no light showing. It is nice if you want to use a lamp only at certain times or to undo clutter in an office by taking the lamp down. For me, the only inconvenience part is my office set-up in which I have the light on the font of the desk so it shines light onto my keyboard. The desk is two feet in with and then there is another 29 inches to drop to the floor at the back of my desk. The cord isn't that long so I had to use an extension cord, which is not the end of the world. For normal use, e.g., bedside stand, the cord is long enough if there is an electrical outlet close-by. The lights are different colors. I have bad eyesight so I'm looking for the brightest white. The is a USB outlet in the back which is convenient. I like the minimalist look to it.
