Ferrante & Teicher - All-Time Greatest Hits

At sea with F and T
Lets face it: Ferrante and Teicher belong to the Beef and Booze Generation. Always playing on your parents 1960's Hi-Fi console, they were middle of the road dinner music personified. The sound of dual pianos is them in a nutshell. Two years ago, I went on an Alaskan cruise. Overnight on one of the ship's TV channels, the sound of F and T played until dawn. On Channel 40 only this record --no video-- and the British Colombian North Pacific waves outside the porthole.Nightly, the CBC in Montreal used to sign off with F and T's version of Midnight Cowboy. Why, ships' Entertainment Director--a lot younger than I--from Ontario did this. Suddenly it is 1969 again. I had to order this CD from Amazon as soon as I got home. My parents, long gone, F and T in their background, the 15 year old in me came to life. One more time play "The Apartment".

Good listening.
If you just want to sit back and listen to some easy tones, this CD is the one for you. I'd forgotten how very much I enjoyed Ferrante & Teicher as my old albums and then VHS tapes were never replaced. I will probably be ordering some more of their tunes in the not too distant future.

YES SIR THE PIANO MASTERS
Now in my hands. A great piano duo. A tribute to the land of movies in America, Hollywood. Here is their number one worldwide hit. The main tittle theme EXODUS( 1962 ). This is the seal these musicians placed and identified them in the years 1960. I also recommend their version of a classic song performed by Bob Dylan LAY LADY LAY. Country music in black and white in the keyboard of pianos. Very specially, here honor invited musician. VINCENT BELL, the performer of AIRPORT( 1964 )Theme starring Dean Martin.BELL starts the melodie with the sound of his WATER SOUND GUITAR to introduce MIDNIGHT COWBOY( 1970 ).I totally recommend it.

F&T Ablums ar Hard to Find
I first became a fan when they did the themes from "Exodus" and the "Apartment" You really cannot appreciate the work they did unless you saw them in concert; how effortlessly they switched back an d forth between rhythm and lead.

I would love to be able to enjoy all 10 tracks of this cd.
All of the tunes on this cd certainly can be deemed classics by this 'dynamic duo' and provide me with tremendous listening pleasure. However, the first track on this cd was flawed/damaged to such an extent, when I elect to play it, I immediately skip it and defer to the remaining nine tracks for my enjoyment.

The Best Piano Music Ever Played
My mother raised me on classical music & Ferranti & Teicher but when I went on youtube & heard there songs again it brought back a lot of beautiful memories & they play the most relaxing music so when I found out that we were having an retirement party for our pastor I got him this Ferranti & Teicher CD he even remembered them that they play the most relaxing music that anyone could ever want to hear.

Exodus and others
Exodus is the star track on this compilation - quite short but it does contain all the tracks most people would need. Their trademark two piano plus big orchestra sound is present on all tracks, all performed to a high standard. Unless you're a really big fan, this collection has all you'll need.
