I'd say it's worth it
I'm a long time (decades) woodwind player. I played in community college stage and concert bands. I have dabbled on trumpet over the years with really no long term serious practice to build trumpet embouchure strength and range. So with that caveat, I recently picked up a student horn in good playing condition that included a Bach 7c. I bought a Yamaha 11b4, and three Eastrock mouthpieces labeled 7c, 5c, and 3c. All five of the mouthpieces seem about the same to me. I expect an intermediate to advanced player could tell a difference. I've tried low cost "knock off" saxophone mouthpieces a few times from Amazon and Ebay. A couple of metal ones have been pretty good. A couple of the plastic ones have been pretty bad. I have a hunch these "knock off" manufacturers have the metal sax and trumpet mouthpieces copied pretty well. Not so the plastic sax mouthpieces. So anyway, I'd say one of these Eastrock trumpet mouthpieces would be okay for a student or anyone on a budget looking to try a different mouthpiece at a low price. I see Bachs priced towards 20 bucks used on Ebay but watch out for fakes. I can't tell if the 3,5, & 7 are really different sizes or just stamped on numbers. I'd say the bullet type is what I'd buy if I had a few spare bucks and already had a name brand mouthpiece or two.

Inexpensive option to a Bach JetTone mouthpiece
I purchased both the 3C and 5C, and both work well. I use the 3C for a wide-bore trumpet and the 5C for a medium-wide trumpet. One reason I like these is they allow me to inexpensively try different mouthpieces to get an idea of what size works best. I am happy with both of these. I used them several weeks and neither one showed signs of the silver plating wearing off.

High notes
My daughter is an avid music player, the trumpet, sax and flute being a few. She learned that there were different mouth pieces, and that she'd grown tired of the trumpet initially because she didn't know that. Her ability to hit "those high Fs" has been opened up and she very excited.

Plating coming off in less then 24 hours
I received the mpc in a sealed bag, it was pristine when I removed it from the bag. I played it and it was great, a huge improvement over my old beat up Bach 3c. I took care to wipe it clean after using. Next day I noticed rough spots around rim where silver plating is coming off. In ONE day. No way to contact seller in China. Not sure if I will return, suspect this is what you get for less than $15. It's cheap but be aware of what you're getting. 2 stars because I love the look and seems to play well.***UPDATE*** Seller contacted me and explained that in rare cases a defective unit will get through QC and offered refund. Raising 1 star for seller's responsiveness and willingness to correct isolated issue.
