Harman/Kardon MAS102 CD AM/FM Radio USB AUX Bluetooth Amplifier Stereo System

I love this so much I bought it twice, one each for different levels in my home. It is a perfect shelf system. The sound quality is excellent, and it is definitely full-featured. With a built-in CD player and AM/FM receiver, a bluetooth receiver, analog, digital and USB inputs, it has everything I want. I've seen a criticism that you need the remote for most of the things you'll do with it. While that's true, it's also true of my TV, my DVD player, my Apple TV, my Amazon Fire TV ... you get the idea. So I don't see this as a big deal. Make sure you know whether the listing you're looking at includes the Harmon Kardon bookshelf speakers. They are terrific, but they are not included in every listing. One of the two systems I purchased DIDN'T include the speakers. That's not the seller's fault; they were up-front in the listing. I just failed to notice it. I'm using a pair of Polk Audio Atrium speakers with that system. They are very good, but not as good as the HK.

I am very happy with this unit. I already had good speakers, so I just purchased the HK MAS 102 unit and it is great. Good sound thru my Paradigm speakers and the bluetooth works great w/ my Iphone 5. The CD works great as does the remote. The FM radio is great. Very good and clear reception, better than my previous HK receiver. I have not tried the USB so I have no information about that.I have one quibble, the remote buttons are very small and hard to read, and the amplifier does not have any controls other than power and volume, so the remote is absolutely necessary - don't lose it.

OK bought a second one! I really love the quality of sound coming out of this system! I hooked up Bose AM5 Series 1 to this system and what a awesomely sounding system! I did purchase The Bridge 3 dock for my IPod. So far can't get the remote to work for the dock. It may be the dock. No video out is a draw back. Has all kinds of inputs which is great!

I wanted a light weight, small stereo receiver with phono input for our den and this works really well. This fills a 20x30 room nicely with bookshelf speakers. Good price for a nice sounding system with lots of inputs. One design issue is the lack of input selection on receiver itself. Inputs can only be changed with the remote - a drawback easily overlooked considering all the features included.

I purchased this for my husband a couple of days ago. Upon receiving the package, we were surprised to see a Bluetooth adapter from Harman squeezed inside the box producing an unusual bulge ! We thought this is just a seller trick to promote the sale of unsold units. Because we never saw this unusual packaging from companies like HK, Denon or Bose. But overall my husband was very happy to get the bundled BT adapter. When we were hooking up the system with our existing Bose 301speakers we found the FM antenna cord does not fit, it has no connector. we were disappointed with a product like this. But we moved on with CD and USB drives. No doubt, they all sound awesome in this system...no complain..My husband was very happy. Now the real story, the Bluetooth adapter was not working with any of our device. We contacted the seller, the guy over the phone was very supportive, they gave us the option to replace with a new BT adapter at no cost. But what I found there are many good adapters out there in Amazon at a much lower price. So we opted for a refund for the adapter, however, they offered us only half the price with the condition that we have to pay for the shipping ! What an experience with HK product ! Since, we both loved the sound quality of the system, we decided not to send the whole unit back to them, and also rather than sending back the BT adapter for a few bucks, we prefered to write this review suggesting everyone NOT to buy this incomplete handicapped system. Two star only for the sound, Stay away from it !!
