REAL Planters H-3 Horizontal Log Planter, Large, Oak

I didn't realize what material this is made of and I wish I had looked more closely. It feels like very, very, strong styrofoam. That's why it's so lightweight, which is good, but I worry about it getting damaged easily. So far it has been fine, weighed down by soil and a plant. There are cool plugs inside at the bottom, so you can remove them to have drainage holes or keep them in to stop drainage. I like this level of control. It looks really cool and I can't wait to see my black-eyed susans blooming in it.

I first saw this planter advertised in Birds & Blooms magazine and loved the looks of it. When I found it on Amazon, I decided to order it because it looked so real; that is because they use a real log for the mold. I was totally happy when I received the planter. Since I ordered the largest size, I planted two small hosta plants in it plus two periwinkles to drape over the side.

Very attractive planters for a woodsy feel. Using at our mountain home. Kind of pricey so I hope they holdup well over the years.

My wife used this in a flower show by adding oasis. The theme was camping under the stars. So she used a lot of red, orange and yellow fall flowers in it.

It looks so real. I love it. It is also a good planter with a built-in drainage hole. I placed it under the tree in front of my house. My neighbors surely noticed it and paid me quite some compliments.

Really very nice. Word of warning it is very light so make sure it's weighted down with lots of heavy soil. Looks very life like and great in a garden or home.

This planter looks like a real log. It is very light made out of some type of foam. Once you add dirt and a plant it works great. We are going to buy a few more sizes next spring.
