The beloved Drizzt and comic books in one buy...who can resist?
Really loved it. As a huge fan of the Drizzt books and comics in general, this was a real treat. Seeing this great story in comic book style was a really nice alternative to what I had in my head from just the read. The characters and underdark for the most part appeared as I pictured, except for the drow women, which looked a lot hotter than the ugly versions I had in my head. Reading it on my kindle fire was a bit of a drag as the text is a little small for my older eyes, but it was fine on the iPad.I would definitely recommend this for any fan of the Drizzt novels. It's concise and hits all the major points. Can't wait to read the next couple. Hopefully they will continue making these through all of the Drizzt novels as I really enjoyed it.

Love this.
I love DRIZZT in graphic novel form. I've read homeland in paperback and kindle, listened to the audiobook and now the graphic novel. This is a great companion to the first book. I would recommend kids starting the DRIZZT series with this then moving up to the books or adults from the books to graphic novel. Gives very nice story and artwork is pretty good.

A good visual companion to the trilogy
As a huge fan of Drizzt Do'Urdon, I found the comic version of the Dark Elf Trilogy to be quite well done. Of course you can't compete with a book when converting to a comic format, but the comic do a good job of keeping with the main story beats. I like the art, it really captures what I imagined the drow city would look like and the character designs are very well done. I feel R.A Salvatore's blessing in the characters looks. The comic are a worthy companion to the books.

The narrative is not as nuanced as the book
This is a great addition for any Drittz fan. However, a lot of the details that made the book great didn’t make it to this adaptation. (I.E. Contrast the scene where Drittz is introduced to Zafnien).I have to acknowledge, that the artists did a great job with the art in the book.

A fun read with wonderful artwork.
A well told story that painted a fantastic picture of where this legendary character comes from. A must read for any DnD fan.

Reread the series again with pics
I love this series. It's great to be able to relive the stories again with panel view. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it just as much as the novel version.

Pretty good
Whilst apart from the drow and a few monsters it varely feels like D&D, this is a pretty decent version of Drizz’t’s backstory and seems to do things nicely. Of particular note is that it retains Salvatore’s occasionally flowery dialogue which is incredibly charming.Very little mention of specific D&D spells used, though the Menzobarran looks beautiful for a cavern society... Actually, that’s funny- drow are cavepeople!

Great Comic Book for the Drizz't Fan
True to the novel albeit more condensed.

Really like the art style but you can always look at ...
Takes the first book of the Dark Elf trilogy adapts it very successfully into a graphic novel. Really like the art style but you can always look at the preview with "Look Inside".

Drizzt's origin story....in pictures!
This was excellet. I'm a huge Salvatore fan, I've been reading him for a LONG time. It's great to see thie Drizzt novels in this format as I've always wondered hoow the drow were visualised. And the artwork was beautiful!! If you are a fan this is well worth the purchase.
