Stabila20070 Type 196/96 m Levels End Caps (2)

My old Stabila Type 196-2 levels needed new end caps. The 2' was missing a cap, and the 4' had the red rubber torn off. These replacements fit just right, and now the ends of my levels are protected again.

Although the Stabila levels last forever, the end caps do not. As tough as my co-workers and I are on the levels, it is amazing that the end caps last so long. For the price, it is a cheap way to keep my levels looking and working well.Over my many years as a carpenter, I have yet to render a Stabila level unusable or worse, unreliable.

They fit right but they are not the old style as the picture shows. They did fit and provide the protection I wanted they are just bigger than the original ones.

Perfect replacement. Slightly different (better?) design than the original that ended up cracking. The delivered product is not exactly what is shown in the product picture FYI - the picture shows the original design that came with my levels. The delivered product is a slightly more flexible white plastic without the cuts around the side buttons that hopefully will be more durable. The red end bumper is a slightly different shape too - shouldn't affect function.

I use Stabila levels exclusively and have a magnetic Jamber set that is 10 years old. I ordered two sets of these end caps as the description stated "end cap" and I wanted to be sure. Two things you should know:1. There are two caps per package.2. They are the new improved design, not the old design that is pictured. This is a good thing and was a welcome surprise.

While the construction was slightly different from the original, they do serve their purpose, however, they are more difficult to get in and out when needed. I am happy to have, should we say, workable end caps for my level, but they are not what I believed I was purchasing. The illustration shows what I thought I was ordering, not what I received

They sure are. Nice spiffy end caps for my really expensive levels. I have had my levels for years and these caps come off so that you can get in tight corners. But after a while the plastic wears and they don't fit so well anymore and eventually fall out. These ends fix that problem and fit nice and tight. This time I bought extras to have them around, of course I will probably lose them before I need them...
