Automoblox Mini A9/Mini X9-X/Mini M9 (3-Pack)

Bought a 3 pack minis for my 3 yr old grandson for Easter. He loves them!!! These are extremely well made. Nice to finaly see wood toys instead of plastic. Colors are nice. Since receiving for Easter, my grandson has taken them apart a put them together a zillion times. Great for the imagination as well as dexterity and motor skills. Great idea that the car pieces are interchangeable, always something different can be made. Great for creative thinking. I am already planning to buy more and would like to get the bigger ones too! Great toy!!!!!

These are among the most simple but clever toys we have seen. Our 3 1/2 yr old son got the mini set as a gift a few years ago and they are still his most favorite toys. He also got one of the larger ones, which has not been as popular with him maybe b/c he has only one and can't interchange the parts. He really loves to mix and match the minis and to create stretch limousines w/the parts! My only compalaint is that he's already managed to break several of the rubber tires, although it's not surprising since this kid manages to break practically anything and usually does so within the first few hours of playing with it (the Automoblox lasted for several months without any damage!). I was glad to see from someone else's review that you can re-order missing or broken parts (we've also managed to lose a few of the wheels and tires even though we don't let him take them out of the house... hmmm). Just be careful if you have younger kids since the wheels and tires on the minis and the little people in the larger ones are definite choking hazards.

My three year old grandson and his 4 year old sister both love these cars. I find that girls are really into puzzles, but boys aren't so much. This is a great way to get the boys to practice the skills needed for puzzles. I wish you could interchange parts in a more creative way. You can interchange colors, but the cars still all look pretty much the same. Different kinds of tires, or different shaped roofs would be nice. There is only one variation of style, and that is the purple one, which is longer. Still lots of fun. Best part? When they were first opened on Christmas, and the kids discovered that the cars could be taken apart - and to what extent they could be broken down into pieces.

I love these cars and trucks, they are easy to work with and fun. HOWEVER the axels on some of the wheel pieces in the body breakdown or just do not function well. Since children (as well as adults!) will be playing with these cars and modfiying the cars as intended, the axels NEED to function well. Too bad this is a defect of these wonderful wooden cars.L

As a longtime Automoblox customer, I'm quite familiar with the company's product line. The set that I received was an older set of Minis, not what was pictured and described. I specifically ordered this set (which was supposed to contain a gold convertible, turquoise mini van and purple SUV) to add to my young nephew's collection, but instead received duplicates of the red, blue and green cars he already owns. I feel like this is a bait and switch. Unfortunately, this was for his birthday, so I had no time to rectify the situation. Automoblox are well-made, quality gifts, but I didn't receive what I expected and am therefore very disappointed.

Well crafted and study but the number of combinations is a bit limited. The colors on the wheels are not interchangeable and there are not that many disassemble options. My sons likes it on and off and they seem to be holding up well. The cars look nice

We gave these as a gift for a 2-year old's birthday. While he may not be able to manipulate all of the parts now, he enjoys pulling the bigger pieces apart and can grow into using all of the pieces. We plan to get some for our daughter (currently 15 months) when she's a little older. They are sturdy and well-made. The interchangeable parts allow for fun creative play, and she loves that they turn into a functional toy when they're together.

I'm not sure who enjoys these more: my husband, or our 3-year old daughter. All of the cars come completely apart so you can mix and match the car parts, roofs, wheels, tires, etc. The main body of each car is wood, not plastic, so they are very durable. They also roll really well on hardwood floors and carpet alike, which is a serious improvement over several other car-type toys we own. I highly recommend these cars. They are worth the extra $$!

I was looking for something that my nephew could dismantle and rebuild again and again. He loves cars so this fit the bill. I opened the box and examined the parts. They're all made of a durable plastic and indeed, they are quite interchangeable.
