Cheap foam applicators are gonna be cheap. I am used to Meguiar's applicators, and these generic ones convinced me to just spend the money and get the Meg's ones. These are significantly weaker, with fingers punching through the foam as you apply coating. I destroyed 4 of these just applying opticoat to one set of simple wheels. The trouble dealing with these weak ones is not worth the savings they provide.(Also, low profile microfiber rectangular applicators are way better for coating body panels IMO).

Waste of money don’t buy. I was excited for the price and value, but not worth it at all. Spend a few extra dollars and buy microfiber pads.

These applicator sponges have been around for years, nothing new but they work for me. Only thing is they are very soft and will tear if they snag on anything sharp and little bits of sponge start depositing on your work. But, they’re cheap so when they start deteriorating I just toss and get a new one.

Hard to beat for this price point - roughly $0.33 per foam pad. These aren’t huge at 4” diameter but they are sufficient for the wax/polish I use and actually helpful when accessing small or “hard to get” places. Notably these are ideal if you are trying out several types of polish/wax to pick a favorite or you regularly “touch up” areas rather than attacking an entire vehicle - I think of these as easily disposable foam applicators. I’ll keep them on hand always.

I bought these for tire dressing. Works great and they are cheap. Use and scrap, and buy more - repeat.

Cheap applicators that can be used for applying wax’s and dressings, the quality is ok. They soak up a lot of material and can be washed out but I wouldn’t bother. For the price and quantity there’s no complaints from me.

I dispose of them after each use but they’re great for appliance interior products and last for applying liquid wax and detail spray even tire shine
