Plays Everything!
Plays every type of disk that I have in my collection; Blue-Ray, DVD (UK & US) and SACD; and it took me about one minute to set it up!

What a relief.
There I was, itching to get my hands on a new Blu-Ray player when 3 Amazon vans drove past my house at different times whilst the advice on time of delivery got later and later. I was not very pleased with Amazon at the time. Anyway, it was eventually delivered more than 6 hours later than originally advised.Installation of the Sony X700 was simplicity itself. That is until I came to the final action, that of connecting the power cable. On the player the power input is a jack, the power cable in the box was a 2 pin plug. So, there I was with a fully installed Blu-Ray player but with no power with which to run it.I sent off an email to the sellers: 220-Electronics and they replied the next day. This was rather efficient as their customer support function is US based. Quite reasonably, they needed photographs of what came in the box and I was able to satisfy their request. However, just by chance, I had once been using a Sony product and the power cable was still plugged in to my multi-port connector and I noticed it was a jack plug. After dusting it off I tried connecting it to the new player, and it fitted. The result was that I was able to run tests by playing a UHD Blu-Ray of The Martian, and it was incredible. Even the sound was an improvement over its predecessor. So, today - August 30th, after a lot of stress caused mainly by a poor delivery, I am a very happy user of a Sony X700 Blu-Ray player. If there is anything to add to this review I will add it later along with the date.

UHD BLU-RAY
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love this player does everything I want plays everything very easily, just remember to press the right colour buttons for different regions, remember to load draw keep open and press the colour required before closing the draw, great picture everything's crystal clear, great sound, did think it was a little pricey but can definitely tell it was worth that little extra, I'd definitely recommend to those who have all sorts of different region dvds in their collection

Good features, but...
I bought this dvd player six months ago and I was delighted with it. I am now not happy because it is already sticking and refusing play some dvds, even brand new ones that are sealed. The dvd player has been treated with care; my dvds/blu-rays are not budget items. My other criticism is it has BBC as an installed app that I cannot remove. I do not want to watch live TV and do pay for a tv license.

Plays multiregion well.
Plays pretty much anything from anywhere. Good options for audio system integration.

Blu-ray Blessing
Great Blu-ray and DVD player, that's very petite and packs a big pounch as it also plays 3D discs and mine has the ability to play muli-region Blu-ray and DVD.I've been wanting this player for a while, I'm very happy.

Glitches on 4k's all the time.
Plays Blurays and DVD's fine. Unless your 4k disk is spotless it will glitch out on it at some point. Sometimes plays 4k's without sound as well.
